2021/22 Frank Lampard

Can’t fault the effort today. The constant gripe I have with them is they raise or lower their performance according to the opposition. The game at home against city, and to a lesser extent today, showed a level of fight and determination that if it was present for every game of the season we’d be fine. They need to fight and work that hard every game. If they do so we could still get the results needed to stay up.

He’s also gained more points than Rafael Benitez did in his last 10 games in charge of us

Double Yikes

Before today.

Triple yikes.

Does the 9 game difference get factored in there??

Like I said in another thread. Let’s take the point to when Lampard was appointed; use his 11 games and the use Benitez last 11 games - a true indication of where the team was

Works out:
10 points for Frank
4 points for fat kopite slug

Frank walked into a burning building with a glass of water and was asked to put it out

Some good comments there.

Tad disappointed he got his 'don't blame me' in there again but at least he's coming across as up for the fight;

“[The mental impact] It doesn’t to me. It will be spoken about but we’ve got 6 games to Burnley’s 5 left. Leeds are in there – they play tomorrow but we had to expect that Burnley might win today and worry about our own job.

“There are 18 points to fight for which is a lot of points so it’s important for players, fans, the club to not get sucked into that into a negative way.

“We’re realistic, but there are a lot of games for us to go and try and win and with the attitude we showed on pitch today and the togetherness and the spirit, and maybe a few things go our way that didn’t go our way today – we’ll get the results.

“Every game we have to be spot on, we have to fight and believe. Absolutely believe – the whole club has to do that because there will be some negative chat now but we’ve been in this fight for a long time now since I got here so if it goes to the end lets stand up and take it to the end”

How did we do in the 11 games before Benitez?

It's a nonsense.

Sure, Lampard come into a bad situation.

His job was to improve that.

He hasn't.

I wanted him to replace Benitez.

Sadly, and unfortunately - it's looking right man, wrong time.

I want him to manage us next season if we stay up - just think his lack of pragmatism/experience early days has cost us.

You don't need to double down on Frank who is a lesser manger than benitez everton stats and trophy cabinet included - to dislike Benitez or prove a point Benitez was the wrong move. Your backing Frank to farcical levels in spite of Benitez. You don't need to do that.

I knn no one he divides opinion a bit, but I like Lampard. Comes across well in interviews, has set the team up well against teams that have better players than us. Bit naive at times but if we go down I’d keep him to try and get us back up next year. Constant firing and hiring is one of the big reasons we’ve ended up in this mess.

I thought he did what he could with what he had today. The attitude was right. Some might argue he could have started Rondon or Delph, but I'm not sure it would have changed much.

He's not faultless and he definitely makes mistakes. I'm actually more frustrated with not seeing out the West Ham and Burnley games for at least a point in each.

They're 9 defeats to skew the stats OBVIOUSLY CHRIS

The kopite was sacked because he got 4 points from 30; since then we’ve got 10 points from 30.

I’ll say this till I’m blue in the face and people can say what they want; we weren’t staying up this season at all once he was canned. It was far too late, the free fall had set and 4 points from 30 was what we were dealing with.

It was the worst appointment we could ever make and everyone who was genuinely concerned as unfortunately been found out to be correct.
