I personally want him to stay and have a crack at building a team.

He's clearly intelligent and passionate and what will we gain from someone else? ANOTHER manager.

We've actually fell lucky with the quality of coaching staff we have now. I'd rather see them work with some new players, then the same dross attempt to play under another regime
I want him and DoF to work in conjunction to building for the next 5 years, including getting rid of these wasters and instilling a way of playing throughout the club

If we're relegated.

And Lampard gets off. Does he get another gig in the Premier League?
No. Not for me.

He's failed at the top end of the division, he'll have failed (with caveats to that, of course) with a middling level PL club; and whatever happens now he's underlined he cant organise to get points to keep a club safe, so no PL club in trouble would turn to him.

Back to the Championship for him now. Just not with Everton.

You tell me. I dont particularly give a flying one who replaces him tbh.
I don't know mate. It's iust that you said if we go down he'll be gone. I was just asking your opinion on who we would bring in. I'm not having a go or trying to be provocative, I just wondered if you had an idea.

Tbf I've not even given it a thought and neither will I until we're down for certain.

I still have hope we can get out of the relegation zone again - and if we, do whoever takes our place will have a job dragging us back into it.

Chelsea: just focus on three points. If that happens we look again at this situation.

You make it sound like it’s because of Lampard we are in this mess, are you forgetting Benitez record was 1 win in 14.

I thought there would be been more of an impact, but there's a limited amount you can do with this rabble of mercenaries, injury plagued + mentally weak.

January was next level stupidity. We knew it at the time + been completely validated since.

- Selling only left back, sacking manager days later.

- Buying players without a manager, who weren't ready for first team/relegation scrap.

- Taking 2 weeks to appoint manager (neither of candidates were with other clubs) + giving them less than 24 hours to bring in players.

No, I dont think it's down to him. That's why I say hes failed with caveats.

He inherited a mess, but with enough games to change this to better than he inherited not worse.

That last minute equaliser against Leicester, and beating Man Utd has give us a tiny bit of momentum.

Not taking a spanking today or getting any daft red cards is a small positive.

We're not down and out yet.

I honestly rhino when he came in, he thought a lot of positive talk would be the order of the day and try and get some confidence into the side (hence trying to go toe to toe with the likes of Spurs away)

I think as things have got a lot more desperate he's really tried to be more pragmatic. Solid (not spectacular) performances at home against Newcastle, Utd and Leicester and very unlucky against Man City. A more solid base away against Burnley, West Ham and rs though no rewards to show for it. But he's trying and we've just got to hope our luck turns

Like you said, we ain't down and out yet and just need to keep going and hope for the best.

I get the nagging feeling that Pereira might have organised us a little bit more intelligently than Lampard has.

I thought his inexperience showed there: on level terms with WHU and the team are going hell for leather for a second; 2-1 up after an hour with Burnley and we're looking to add the 3rd and 4th.

Should have shut up shop on each occassion and we'd be clear of this mess right now.

I'm hoping and praying too. But I think we're just living on a prayer. I think we're down mate. If we show the same commitment we did today then maybe we have hope. But it's the hope that kills you.

Not for me mate. We were in a good moment against West Ham, had them pinned back and looked the most likely to score until in quick succession Iwobi and Keane mistakes.

Burnley game, Richarlison with a golden chance to put us 3-1 up and that would have been game over.

Individual mistakes and not managers mistakes cost us in those 2 games.

I agree. Last week I thought the opposite though...and things are so tight still there's scope enough for me to get optimistic again.

6 games left; technically still in our own hands.

Nil Desperandum....just yet.
