It's a tough one really as we're going to have to massively reduce our wage bill and completely revamp the side which will be almost impossible as most of the players we have got nobody wants and are on huge wages.

I don't really know what the answer will be. Coming straight back up with be difficult if Rondon for example is our starting striker in the championship, doubt he'll score more than about 10.

Lampard and Thelwell have experienced championship football.
They have a vast list of contacts whom we could utilise.

I suspect if we go down we will obviously sell a load and have possibly one season to get back up before financial catastrophe.

Calvert Lewin, Richarlison and Pickford have resale value and are most likely gone. The likes of Rondon, Allan, Keane, Holgate, Gomes etc are here until their contracts end.

Even if they have good contacts and could sign players on loan from Chelsea etc how are we going to sign players when we have such a large amount of players on huge wages?

It's going to be a real challenge next season.

IIts simply unsustainable for us to keep some of those mentioned. We will likely give them away or loan out and save on wages via splitting them with deals.

Lampard has had enough time to save our season but the performances have been no better than under Benitez or Ancelloti towards the end of last season. The team or rather the players are just not doing it. The Championship is a tough league. If we go down we should be able to bounce back quickly - but then again we shouldn’t be in this position as things stand. Moshiri will probably stick with Lampard but there is a danger that he sacks him mid-season if we don’t start well next season. This will just keep us in the death spiral we’ve been in since Moshiri took over.

Yes I agree that Lampard was not the best choice for a relegation fight, I think he should have been given the job last summer, to avoid Benitez coming in and destroying the confidence of the players and causing a bitter rift amongst the fan base.

I know you don't agree, but, I would keep Lampard even if we go down. It's time for a total restructure now and I'd like to see Lampard and Thelwell given the chance to implement it. The alternative is the likes of Dyche or his ilk, who will, once again be trying to bring in aging mercenaries for a short term fix. We really have to get away from that mind set.

We had Ex Everton players advising Moshiri on that decision like Sharp and Cahill. Did they say to hand the job to Lampard over Pereira?

These people will have a lot to answer for too if we go down.

I like him but I do get some Tim Sherwood vibes when he was at Villa sometimes, its the inexperience. And he came in with this idea we could "play our way out of it" when we just don't have the squad. I don't blame him though I'd put relegation 80% on the recruitment/owner and players if we drop. We have been more solid since Spurs but still not getting enough points. The desperation for results increases with each match especially with Burnley now on a run, away performances have been killing us all season, but the truth is we have had issues away from home for year's. And keeping Benitez in situ for so long made it a tough task for any coach to turn this around. We aren't down yet but I am worried very worried.

We were great away last year and did take that into the start of this season (Leeds/Brighton/Man United) but the season unravelled from that last 20 minutes against Watford. The fans have carried the team at Goodison post-Benitez.

Take the point but last season was an anomaly no fans in grounds. Yes we started well but the wheels came off especially after we capitulated against Watford at home. Our away form has been chronic for years if we are honest

I think you are placing too much emphasis on Lamps yes he has been a bit tactically naive at times but individual mistakes have cost us more points than the manager for me. The squad isn't good enough. Also yes we are better than under Benitez, we won one in fourteen under that clown.

The fans should of been carrying the team all season, not just post Benitez, if they had of been we might not if been in this mess.

We are not better then under Benitez, this was before yesterday so Frank's stats have actually got worse
