2021/22 Frank Lampard

For those who are impressed with Lampard, and who believe that stability is important, one can ask the question what kind of stability Lampard has brought to the club. The system is constantly changing, and one day he is positive, while the other day he throws the players under the bus, what kind of stability is that?

That may be due to the fact that some of these players can't get themselves fit and their commitment has been poor all season. And why should he not throw players under the bus when they are not available for the most important games in the club's recent history?

Stability only happens once these players are moved on. Sacking another manager to placate the small vocal minority who haven't a clue about football will ensure that these players get to stay.

When we beat Arsenal, that was also with a crowd totally onside with the players. It was the night of the 27th minute walkout and the crowd reacted by getting fully behind the players.
That's true that, I've been saying this all season, we have to be on the side of the players now, leave everything else to one side

Has he thrown anyone under the bus or just been honest.
When you see the likes of Carlo Ancelotti exhausted after some of the performances and couldnt disguise anything you know the deep rooted problems are bad recruitment.

Truth is im at a loss as to wether lampard is the long term answer or not.

We brought Lampard to avoid relegation as a minimum
If he fails he goes
Results count - win 3 lose 8 draw 1
Amazing how some people still defend him
He had practically a full team and January market/ loans
Highly disappointing

Was speaking to a Utd fan at Uni this morning and he said he hopes we don't go down, but he hates Frank so much that he hopes we do go down.

He then went on to say that Frank is no manager just like Gary Neville and would be better off as an analyst.
Does this United fan hold any standing in the game? if not I can't say I give a rats arse what some dosser manc at your uni has to say, he should worry about his own team.

Ever heard of Conte or Mourinho?
It is quite predictable how Conte and Mourinho's teams play football. It was a period when Mourinho was at the top of the world, but then he was better known for protecting his players, and had mostly good relations with his players. When the downturn came, well then he got angry. In general in life you can be quite hard on people you have good relationships with, and they will tolerate it well, but it is rarely a good strategy to play tough in the beginning.

Be rather funny if Frankie boy is charged by the fa for his comments about the shocking ref after Sunday - they are extracting the urine of so, just corruption and wanting us gone, it’s not even up for debate.
In a perverse way I think If Lampard was charged and found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute before the Chelsea game it might create the siege mentality amongst supporters to give the atmosphere an even greater edge.
The time for recriminations is when we are mathematically safe or down as we could talk ourselves into relegation with 6 games still to play based on comments on fan sites.
We have a very tough task to stay up but we still have it in our hands…keep the faith.

His job is to get Everton to play in the PL next season. If he manages this, he can build, and make it far more complex. Right now, players need simple and few instructions, and a manager who takes the serious talk internally. Not a manager who is more concerned with scoring cheap points with the fans.

He was also not unfamiliar with this in Chelsea, and eventually it was the players who threw him under the bus. I think this attitude / approach, along with many different messages (unclear (guidelines) from match to match, is a recipe for disaster, one must also keep in mind that the Chelsea players complained about this to us.

If he didn't change the system to grind out results you'd be crying that he's so stubborn and refuses to change. If you don't think these players who have us in the relegation zone need called out then you need to give your head a wobble. This mess isn't Lampards doing and while Benitez will get the blame ultimately its on the players and only the players can get us out of this.

I want him to stay, without doubt he has made mistakes but I would say in most games we have come out, played well when following his tactics then fell apart after an individual error or conceding. I think he got his tactics wrong against Burnley and the Wolves game the team were overall poor although restricted Wolves to not make clear chances and arguably should have scored.

Spurs, Palace and Southampton away, were all games we started well and there was a clear gameplan. The players heads just dropped following conceding. Spurs in particular we had quite a lot of the ball in the first 15 and then we were two-nil down off 1 shot on target and two individual errors. It is very hard for a manage to legislate for that. Even individual errors cost us at Burnley and Newcastle.

The Newcastle away game, I think was a mix of a number of issues. The gameplan did't work but he wasn't able to change it due to the two first half injuries. Add in their home atmosphere and it just went to [Poor language removed].

I think the Derby and City have shown he can this side tactically quite spot on. Something, Chelsea away aside, I didn't see from Rafael (which surprised me as he is sold as some tactical genius).

My biggest criticism is that he made a mistake trying to get this side to play when he should have just concentrating on getting points on board. But that is the risk of hiring a young manager.

I'm quite pleased with the back room team he has assembled and think it has a good blend of youth and experience. He needs time in my opinion.
