Always picked the wrong one bag Ancelotti which was to late by the time we got him, then put in a stupid clause that fekked us over more

The problem is there are a handful of genuine good managers in world football at present.

Klopp
Pep
Simeone
Carlo
Tuchel?
Poch?
Jose?

To have even attracted one of them to a club like ours is a plus for Moshiri.

People slate our managerial appointments but none were abysmal choices really - Leicester appointed Puel, Villa have appointed Slippy G and Dean Smith, Newcastle Bruce, Pardew, Utd Ole G, RS Woy Hodgson even Chelsea have had a few suspect managers like Avram Grant and Di Mattaeo.

We just have a very high opinion of ourselves as a fanbase.

Ancelotti, Koeman, Benitez, Alladyce, Silva are not horrendous appointments for a midtable club like us.

Fat boy should NEVER have got the job…didn’t deserve the sack? I went to Everton vs Newcastle, sat in the Gwladys street. Paid £6 for the ticket(off stubhub) and had no one within 5 seats of me. The row in front and behind was empty. A kid spent the fa e running back and forth along the rows it was so empty.
We won 1-0 1 shot on target

Dude, he got us to 8th in the table, I never said I wanted him to stay but arguably sacking him was harsh.

You left off Ancelotti and Lampard.

Agree with most of your post, but Di Matteo?
The Di Matteo that won them the CL?

We were 13th when he took over like (albeit only five points above the drop).

Allardyce had the chance to prove he wasn't a complete dinosaur when we were safe by late January after a good run of results.

But he couldn't be arsed. He jetted off to Moraira - I know, my family has a villa two streets down from Casa Big Sam (the actual name of his house he built) - once every two weeks and pretty much came back for one training session and the pressers.

He just wasn't bothered.

He also was given £50m to spend in January and spent it on Walcott and Tosun who cost a combined £220k in wages.

That's the difference. Allardyce never should have had the job to be sacked. We were 13th when he took charge. It was unnecessary. Benitez also should never have been given the job because it was inevitable what would happen.

The others, had shown enough to get a chance, but Silva looked lost and Koeman didn't care so they had to go.

Koeman literally had one of the hardest starts to a PL season I've ever seen mind. We had finished 7th and in the first like 8 games or something we played 5 of the teams that finished ahead of us. With no decent striker at that time.

Martinez maybe deserved a little longer in hindsight, but fans were twitchy and moshiri wanted to show who was in charge.

Again, not arsed about all that, he got a horrid squad to 8th place. If Lampard did that we wouldn't have sacked him. If Benitez had we wouldn't have sacked him.

He got us higher than even Ancelotti did.

I did not want him to stay but his firing was arguably unjust.

Ancelotti was a remarkable appointment but ultimately one that we couldn't really afford.

I see why Moshiri did it and we shouldn't blame him for that one IMO. We all would have made the same call as fans.

That being said, we paid him £12m a year, and if you get Carlo Ancelotti, you need to get Carlo Ancelotti-level players. And they cost.

I see. To me he justified it by continuing to play horrendous footy when really there was no need. He could have tried other things to show he could have had another season. IMO if he did that the fans would have accepted it.

We haven't sacked Lampard yet - and we shouldn't do really whatever happens. If we go down, accept it, but we need some continuity. The onus would be on him and his staff to bring us back up. He wouldn't be blameless, of course he wouldn't, but not sacking the Pig Man earlier than we did is the real reason we're in this mess.

I never said we're sacking Lampard.

I'm in favour of retaining Lampard relegation or otherwise. It has not been a negative appointment even though its arguable that he is coming to grips with the situation a little too late, but we'll see the end result on that one soon enough.

We will have a lot of change in the summer come what may, and need to keep continuity where its best that we do so rather than yet another round of change and upheaval piled onto chaos. I don't accept either that its a given we would struggle in The Championship, again we would have to see how it turned out.

You could make an argument to get some sort of Championship promotion specialist in and/or someone who knows that league inside out but its not currently worth it IMO if relegation comes to pass.

Lampard has a good coaching staff around him as well, Clement in particular. I hope their skills and experience are not needed in a lower league but I have a degree of confidence in them and they should be given an opportunity over a full season where hopefully they could initiate the type of positive changes we need rather than having them dictated from above.
