I think he needs to show some real progress the next 5 games to secure his job going forward. Whether we stay up or not there isn't any point to keeping him around if all he's got is trying to scrape points. We're making no progress in producing a style of play and while I get the circumstances are tough I don't think we need to wait another year just to find out he doesn't actually have it.
Is this a serious post??

The situation at the time that Frank arrived at Everton, we were in free fall mate. The main objective short term was to find a way to get a bunch of under performing players to play a system that would pick up points. After a bedding in period he seems to have gotten it into the players that maximum effort and focus is needed to just secure PL football next season.

If and once we are safe I think it's fair to say we will see Frank move players in and out that will work for the system he wants to implement going forward.

To want to throw Frank under the bus for countless failures by the board, scouting and players is odd to say the least and the last thing we need is to have another pre season of complete change where no one knows any long term plan, look how well that has served us the last few years. Stability, a plan that everyone is onboard with and a clear out of board members is what is actually needed.

What is this post

Scraping points is exactly what we need. You're asking for a level of football we can't play, and which would see us already relegated.

Comfortably one of the worst posts I’ve ever read on here. It’s a wind up attempt though so fair play it’s done it’s job.

So for me im willing to get behind somebody who has mildly impressed me, how has he impressed me you might ask, I dunno, I just like him, he carries himself well. Does that help us win football matches? God no.
Yeah, I like him, too.

There's a good relationship with the fans building, and he has quickly swallowed whatever pride he might have had about playing his preferred system and found a way (through a lot of trial and error) to get results.

On top of that, he's calm, talks plainly and honestly, and looks committed to the cause.

I'm not sure we're in a position to ask for too much more.

Please just bore off with this nonsense football hipsterism.

Football is about keeping goals out of your own net and scoring them down the other end. We could have been 2 or 3 up against the champions of Europe playing the way we did at the weekend and we’re on the bottom 3. What more do you want? A style of football completely beyond the reach of the current playing squad, that will probably send us down, but will get some pats on the head from the media a la a modern day Tony Mowbray?

Utterly ridiculous.

I think he needs to be given all of next season and a full summer window under his belt before we can judge.

If we are not in or near top half by end of next season with a recognised way of playing then I would move him on and try bring in a Kovac type if our finances have inproved.

It's still early days for him at Everton, but I really like him and I really want him to succeed

If he keeps us up then I think it would be madness to not keep him on and give him a chance next season with a full pre-season to work with the players
yes ...it would be madness, But Mikey, it's a moot point...we are not going down

The most important thing that Frank has learned during his time with us so far is bollox to trying to implement a nice playing style this season, take every game as it comes and play your ass off and do whatever it takes to get points in that game and get to safety. He already tried to play nice football early on and we didn't pick up points. Playing styles can be implemented next season after our PL status is preserved and he has had a full summer to rebuild.
