Errr just don’t know if I can agree there. I wouldn’t say we were hard to beat lately as most of our good results have required Pickford to enter the Matrix.
Part of being hard to beat is limiting the amount of shots your goalkeeper is called on to defend.
A goalkeeper ,whatever his ability, who is being peppered with shots will invariably fail at some point.
By limiting the opposition we have allowed Pickford to do his job when called upon.

Having a good keeper is a big part of being hard to beat though. Even if he hadn't pulled off those saves and we had drew both games, that would still be "hard to beat".

We conceded 1 in our last 3 games. Clean sheets are what we needed.

I get the feeling he's recognised the plight we're in, assessed the squad and gone for players who have the character, work rate and the bottle to dig in and get us safe. I suspect that some of the players being used sparsely have not shown the same fight. It will be a very interesting summer in terms of transfers and even more interesting to see how he sets us up early next season with all to play for and his own signings

He has, thankfully.

He was late in recognising that fact - he wasn't pragmatic enough when he first arrived.

I think he got it wrong last night. Too negative, too late to try and give some impetus.

Had a feeling he/his coaches have had their prediction league out and figured it was a must not lose. His post match comments seemed to suggest that too.

The fact Leeds kicked off earlier, and they would have known at HT that they were 2 down and had 10 men, makes me wonder if they might have changed their approach.

If Leeds had been winning, maybe they would have been thinking differently. A point is ok when Leeds lose. It wouldn't have been ok if Leeds had picked up something.

A point last night meant that even in worst case scenario where Leeds get 6 points, we don't actually need to win both homes. It might prove to be the wrong strategy, but that will only be if we don't perform at home.

A goalkeeper doing his job keeping goals out is literally what we pay him for.

Strange take on Pickford that.

You think the world class saves he's made in the last few games are just part of the job? Strange take on goalkeeping that.

Erm, yes, making saves is his job? Unless you think it’s realistic or plausible to expect opposition teams to not have any shots against us. He’s done his job very well, but yes it’s still his job and not a strange take at all.

Yes if the saves keepers do have to make are straightforward. He's pulled off multiple jaw-drop worldy saves lately when the team have failed to stop attackers.

They were great saves. But its not something i dont see from other keepers like de gea or lloris.
I dont want to take a single thing away from him because we'd be on 32 points if he hadnt made them but its not exclusive. It is part of a keepers job.

A goalkeepers only job is to keep the ball out the net. Doesn't matter if it's a simple catch or a world class save, that's his job.

World class saves just means he is very good at it. At a 30 million price tag for a goalkeeper, it's expected. All credit to Pickford for doing it but given he was a british record fee goalkeeper at the time , I think the odd world class save is well within his talent.
