People are actually moaning about Frank today haha we've just picked up 4 away points, kept an away clean sheet, beat Chelsea too, he turned Iwobi into one of our best players and all the fans are singing, but some people are still finding reasons to moan? Mentalists

Makes me laugh when some on here make out they’re going to back this manager to lead a turnaround job next season and then are in uproar when we draw 0-0 at Watford because he didn’t play the formation they wanted.

Watford had zero shots on our goal and we had multiplied decent chances to score but the end product wasn’t there. Not much wrong with those tactics. Of course people just presume that if we changed formation we keep all our defensive solidity and gain a load of attacking skill. If only football was so simple.

Mark my words if Lampard loses a couple early on next season there’ll be lids saying ‘we should have got potter in the summer when we had the chance’. It’s an absolute scourge on the club that we can’t give managers more than a handful of games before we’re eyeing up a better offer from somewhere else.

I notice Nuno has been fired, Bielsa is gone, Marsch will be relegated, Dean Smith also, Lage has now missed Europe, Rodgers is bottom half, Vieira might get less points than Hodgson did, Hasenhuttl is in relegation form.

When will the lesson be learned ffs, stop chasing after the most recent shiny hipster ball and just give the manager at the club a chance to do some work.

Well I'll let you back into the original convo just so you don't carry on this tangent:
Surely us only losing 1 out of our last 6 means we've been hard to beat though? I do get what you're saying and there's definitely a habit of saying every win was a wonderful battling performance and dropped points are terrible bottle jobs, but ultimately whether it's because the keeper's making saves or because we're scoring a shedload of goals, if we're not losing games then we're clearly hard to beat.

Crazy that a team that's been battling relegation all year turned out not to be infinitely better than another team in the same position isn't it.

To give a side its first clean sheet of the season after 35 games when they have most of thier team out shows you we have a long way to go.

Also worth taking into account that there will be changes at Watford next season with them going down and a lot of these back up players from last night would have been playing for their future as some opportunities may open up for them.

Last night's result was somewhat annoying but not entirely unexpected either.

It wasn't annoying at all, it was the good result we needed, we increased the gap on Leeds, kept a clean sheet, we did what we had to do

I agree with Simon Jordan. He's a manager still with a lot to prove. Granted he has done well to turn it around in the last week or two. However we shouldn't have been near this situation in the first place and his form since taking over has us 17th in the league.

He should have done better in the away games at Newcastle and Southampton early on and really by getting us out of it (albeit by only 2 points currently) he's effectively righting his own wrongs from his bad start.

Of course he should be given time as should any manager, but the odds are against him doing well next season. Its unknown how much he will have to spend or whether he will be able to attract enough quality to this team. But I do have my reservations about him still which have only been fuelled further by that shambles last night. I fear that there will be a realistic chance he will battle relegation with us again next season if we stay up.

People are so fatalistic about it. 11 points out of a possible 18. I'd take that every time even if we had a rubbish draw vs Watford in there.

Players are tired. Bench is garbage. Yeah we could have gone for it, but you open up a bit and change to 4 at the back, and one counter could see our defence crumble, like vs Burnley. Maybe if we had Mina in he might have done so, but not with Keane, Holgate and Coleman.

Should have done better early on. You mean when he picked up a team that was bottom of the form table with 1 win from 13 and rock bottom morale. You expected him to just start winning? And you talk about what you think is realistic?

Well I don’t know what your original point was but that post that I was replying to actually specifically suggested that keepers shouldn’t have to make good saves. Like Mendy hitting a pearler from 30 yards out of nowhere that’s heading for the top corner is somehow the fault of our defence.
It is if they haven't closed him down.
