Mad how nearly every other team has someone lined up almost instantly yet we take weeks and weeks and our shortlists are bizarre.
It's such an agonizing and drawn out process for us in the time we take to fill a managerial vacancy, Watford have already hired and fired three different managers. lol I agree if not just bizarre the shortlists are incredibly unimaginative and lazy, let's hire the guy we sacked several years ago for being mediocre since he has really distinguished himself underperforming internationally with one of more gifted national team squads

Well this is the elephant in the room, and that is unless Kevin Thelwell who actually has experience at building clubs is given the remit to select the next manager, then the board who have failed with every appointment and in almost every capacity would be selecting yet another manager and expecting him to just work with a squad of players he didn't sign and a DoF who he might not agree with. Arsenal succeed because they have a competent director who can identify players and a competent manager who is an elite tactician. I like Thelwell and think the changes he has made at the academy level are good, but some of his transfer moves aside from Coady are a bit puzzling. Lampard is certainly no elite tactician, I think even his most staunch defenders would agree.
For me the most grating aspects are the simple things Frank seems to bungle such as making timely substitutions that can actually impact the game, making alterations to a formation when its clearly not effective and his lack of comprehension that maupay is not dlc and you cant implement the same tactics he's 5'7 and not even a definitive striker.

Yeah the defensive additions were solid on thelwell's part and in theory the midfield is an improvement but regardless of financial limitations to not replace richie with someone who has Similar qualities was negligent. Like you mentioned I don't know what authority he truly holds but hopefully he has more autonomy than brands

Ok but what if we don't pick them up, Brighton with the new manger and 6 weeks or so preparations, and Wolves who also have a new manager and 6 weeks to get ready to face Everton without coady, what if we don't get those 4 points?
Leaving us we'll short of the half way stage target?

If we got a new manager, would you make us favourites for games solely based on the fact we have a new manager?

Depends who it is, possibly yes, look at last season, when we changed manager did you feel more comfortable about a victory?
Going into these games, with the same squad and manager, minus Coady in one, doing the exact same thing is going to be very hard
For whats its worth a team facing a treading water manager always fancies themselves for a result.

So you trust Moshiri to get the right manager in then?

Good to see you backing him for once.

I just checked and we havent won a single trophy since Bill became Chairman.

Can you tell me more about this proven track record please?
He appointed Moyes, which worked, the length of his stay proves that, he appointed Lampard to keep us up, together they did, two out of two, ill take that over Moshiri's revolving door anyday.
