I think it was Spitting Image or some other satire show that had a journalist interviewing a bereaved person with the question: "Are you sad, very sad, or devastated?"Hate listening to these pathetic cringeworthy interviews every week with stupid questions like "so, glad to be back at Goodison?" or "do you feel prepared for the game tomorrow?" - what on earth are these [supposed] JoUrNaLiStS expecting him to say. Almost as insufferable as when they come out with "how pleased with the 3 points are you?" or "are you hoping to build on this?". Absolute wastes of skin, the lot of 'em!
Yeah that in-house media guff is so manufactured and stage-managed I'm surprised it's not mistaken for CNN half the time.I think it was Spitting Image or some other satire show that had a journalist interviewing a bereaved person with the question: "Are you sad, very sad, or devastated?"
The club interviews are nauseating because they are over-familiar, touchy-feely, and skirt around the massive elephant in the room: the manager is not getting results despite being a diamond geezer and will be impaled on a Farhad Moshiri primed stick as soon as is expedient.
Just get a few wins, Frank, and these might be more watchable again.
lol Absolutely in future Kevin you must say we’ve a phenomenal chanceHe was probably hauled in to Bobby Brownshoes media training school the next day... ?
I think Frank Lampards reign comes to an end on Saturday 7th January at 4pm.
At which time, we will appoint Roberto Martinez on Monday 9th January with him signing a 3 year contract.
Prove me wrong Franky, im REALLY rooting for you.
In most cases yes, in Martinez’ case if really wouldn’t surprise me if he’s been sounded out again, considering he’s back over hereAs if we’re sacking Lampard and taking less than 4 weeks to appoint his successor.
All very true.Hate listening to these pathetic cringeworthy interviews every week with stupid questions like "so, glad to be back at Goodison?" or "do you feel prepared for the game tomorrow?" - what on earth are these [supposed] JoUrNaLiStS expecting him to say. This would guarantee relegation, an absolute retrograde appointment. But it’s not going to happen, the club are backing Lampard.I think Frank Lampards reign comes to an end on Saturday 7th January at 4pm.

Ultimately,
swapping managers every 6-12 months doesnt work.
Could see in the first 7/8 games the foundations of what he is trying to implement. Defensively much better but lacking quality in attack.
I do not believe for a second Frank Lampard, who has been the best, played with the best believes that his current options at satisfactory.
Sacking him and creating another merry go around doesnt do anything. Has to be a good 3/4 year period of stability and progress. Problems aren tfixed in one summer... No matter how frustrating it is that we didnt recruit a decent attacker to support uptop.
I’d like to believe that.We absolutely will not be appointing Roberto Martinez again.
We absolutely will not be appointing Roberto Martinez again.
There’s a difference between it being an unimaginably terrible idea - and it being a decision our cartoon board could make anyway. We absolutely will not be appointing Roberto Martinez again.
