I’d like to believe that.
But the only thing that prevented us appointing him on a part time basis last time around were the objections of the Belgian F.A.
That's just rumours. Moshiri sacked him, it was one of the first things he did when he got here!

I would say he cant be that stupid but...

I actually like Martinez but never go back, it didn't work out for our best ever manager, so it wont work for someone like Martinez (or Moyes for that matter)

he had one of the best squads and coudnt do a thing lol ye let’s get him as manager with our atrocious squad

Managers being let down is a trend under this regime. I never liked Koeman, and predicted he'd be a poor appointment, but he was doomed the minute the summer transfer window closed with no striker signed to replace Lukaku. And, no, Rooney was not a replacement. He was a Bill stroke, designed to ensure the charlatan could claim he righted the wrong of 2004.

Completely agree mate. No issue with Lukaku going, he is ambitious, had given us another season and we hadnt progressed. The failure of this club to replace key players is absolutely astonishing.

Martinez was just so stubborn. Has a plan A but doesnt divert from it. The best managers change their approach regularly if it isnt working. Mourinho was a master of it. Klopp will do it, Pep less so because plan A works so often. It odesnt mean change and become hoofball, but just tweaks throughout the midfield and how they set up.

It's all well and good having plan A being all pretty and smooth, but when that doesnt work, what is in your back pocket? He either had nothing, or was so stubborn to stick to the key principles that didnt work.

Which is a massive shame as he seems a genuinely decent man, which are few and far between in football, and I wanted him to be a real success.

Oh I see it's on the fans once again and we haven't even kicked off after the break yet.

"The onus is on EFC to engage the crowd"

Meaning, it's up to the players to turn up and get the crowd going with their performance.

Hasn't put it on the crowd at all.

Either way, I'm a massive believer if your crowd are backing you, rather than hurling abuse or booing, or moaning constnatly, it can give individuals extra energy.

Not everyone in the world has thick skin and can just ignore it.
