His subs are way too slow to have an impact. We were crap and instead of making changes at half time he only made subs when we were down with 10 mins to go.I think some people need reminding that, while Frank was stripped of his best attacker in the summer, he had ample time to plan for his departure.
He was given close to £80m (eighty) to plug the gaps in the squad and chose to spend almost half of that on League Two standard Neal Maupay and Vauxhall Conference quality Dwight McNeil.
While I admire the club wanting to sign promising up-and-coming players such as Onana, who I do rate, spending £33m on him when we had not a single decent, reliable, attacking player in the squad was just ridiculous.
Let's also not forget that Lampard signed off on us bringing Dele Alli to the club too.
5 of the starters today were Lampard signings, Gordon seemingly was deemed unsellable at any price by Lampard/the club, while the other 5 players cost approx £115m and are all regular international players.
He waited 83(!) minutes before deciding Maupay wasn't going to score today. Imagine continously rewarding failure with minutes on the pitch.
Needs to be sacked and Thelwell needs to go too.
I think Lampard will still, somehow, get the "we'll be better with some new players / a fit and firing Calvin Lewin" let off, much like Benitez did with his "we'll be better in the second half of the season", before being punted way too late.
The Kenwright era was good, this is a nightmare
We know what will happen, Franks gets sacked we employ another manager who’s not interested with working with half of our squad. He then gets a load players he wants, we churn out the same performances after 6-18months then…………… And round and round we go
Bill thankfully, let's hope he is allowed to work without interference from the owner from now on.Who’s chairman now ?
He hired Lampard did he notBill thankfully, let's hope he is allowed to work without interference from the owner from now on.
Are results worse than the squad? Close call, but I think they are. We may hate them, but on average, when thinking calmly, the players are definitely better than this surely. Results are unacceptable
But the squad is unacceptable level of quality too
So what do we do
He can’t stick a 5ft 8 striker up top. Wrong signing. I rather we spent £35m on one quality player rather than McNeil and Maupay. He will have to stop with playing around at the back and go direct again if he is to survive the next few games.
Yeah to save us from relegation, which he did, but if it wasn't for Moshiri we wouldn't of been looking for an unproven manager to replace Rafael BenitezHe hired Lampard did he not
Absolutely anyone who isn't the current one.
Wolves and Villa didn't exactly have scrape the bottom of the barrel ,to get a mangers with a decent pedigree.
We had an a fella who was failing in China and a novice as are last choices, thanks to the bums on the board.
So who knows what they will come up with.
