I know he wasn't in any way backed, but he spent £75m-odd in the summer.
£33m Onana
£15m Maupay
£20m McNeil
£5-10m Gueye

That's not at all defending the board as they've been horrific and are mostly the reason why we'll get relegated, but Lampard alongside Thelwell spent all of the money absolutely horribly.

Couldn't have got it worse if they tried.
Garner £15.5m.

Coady wasn't available to play against his parent club, so someone had to start alongside JT. The one who got the pick scored our goal and wasn't really any better or worse than anyone else. Yesterday's tactical setup was 100% on Lampard, the performance was on the players, and the result on both of them. The atmosphere or the crowd were not to blame for losing that game IMO.

I'm just made up we've signed John Terry. Merry Christmas to you too!

3 wins in his 16 PL games THIS SEASON!
1 win in the last 8!
6 losses in the last 8!
4 points from the last 28 available!
2 weeks off completely, 6 weeks away from competitive football and that performance against Wolves is what was served up!
Lose percentage on a par with Benitez and worse than Mike Walker, defeat at City would see Lampard out on his own as THE worst in our PL history!
Goals per game is THE lowest in our PL history!
Win percentage joint second with Benitez just behind Walker, a defeat at City would also see him clear in second worse than Benitez!
Points per game is level with Benitez, defeat at City would see him clear Benitez in this as well!

AND this is the guy the board decide to back and give time, F me they are beyond negligent.... 4 or 5 games of carrying on like this will see Frank as the worst ever in our PL history, out on his own in every respect.

FWIW 3 front players, of the type we can afford, doesn`t sort this mess out.

The team needs a new direction and a new manager, he hasn`t and can not get the required results that will keep us up.

Keep Frank we will go down!

For certain but I think the damage has already been done due to his and Thelwell’s disastrous summer transfers. We were hanging on by a thread but those signings have killed us. A new manager would need a massive spend to keep us alive.

I genuinely think you can make a case for saying he's the worst Everton manager of all time. The board clearly are going to just let him confirm that by allowing him to relegate us

Was trying to think yesterday when was the last decent player/Manager, unheard of these days.
Rudd Gullit for me, I think he was Chelsea manager when my dad & I had season tickets in the mid/late 90’s iirc. Chelsea wore this weird grey and orange strip and Ruud strolled through the game totally bossing the midfield. Some days, an opposition player turns up and you just have to admire their performance.

Just as if getting 2 decent attackers in January is going to magically solve all of our problems. We have conceded 11 goals in the last 4 games and no amount of attackers is going to resolve that. They will need to be scoring 5 a game to have a chance. He is trying to get a group of mediocre players to play the same way as City do and then wondering why it is going wrong. He has one of the best defensive midfielders in the league renowned for his tackles and protecting the defence running around all over the show and often higher up the field than the striker and then wondering why we are leaving gaps at the back. None of it is rocket science, all of it is poor management.

Just a very amateur manager who might be good one day but needs years of experience to reach that point and that experience will include relegations if he is allowed to continue gaining it at Everton.
At the start of the season he had a couple of experienced CBs marshalling the defence and keeping things tight, then he adds some physicality to the midfield and we look hard to beat and able to nick the odd game.

In Martinez fashion he seems to have taken those strengths and somehow coached them out of us. We’re back to looking soft as ever at the back and unable to hit the proverbial cow’s backside.

Of course we need attacking players but we HAVE to get back to being tight at the back ASAP. Basics first and then we can hopefully progress with some new attacking talent. It’s not happening under this coach, at any rate.

Absolutely anyone who isn't the current one.
Wolves and Villa didn't exactly have scrape the bottom of the barrel ,to get a mangers with a decent pedigree.
We had an a fella who was failing in China and a novice as are last choices, thanks to the bums on the board.
So who knows what they will come up with.

have you seen who we are run by compared to those clubs?

yep exactly

What forwards do Bournemouth have? The World Cup break seems to have clouded people’s memories, but incase you’ve forgotten we got battered by bloody Bournemouth twice in a week shipping 7 goals in the process. He should have been out there and then. The lengths some go to to defend this clown is incredible just because he “gets us”. This “he gets us” guff gets right on my tits.
Those scenes at the end were unforgivable, iwobi’s shirt being thrown back at him, etc. When long suffering travelling fans are hurling abuse at the players and the manager a few yards away, he must have realised then that he was losing whatever goodwill still existed. He needed a big performance and a big result yesterday to convince us that he’d been working hard during the 6-week break. We, and he, got neither.

We have slowly allowed the mid table ish+ standards of this club to be chipped away over just the course of just last season JUST ONE SEASON, we finished on 59 points with pretty much the same squad + Richy under Carlo. although we have sold Richy we have still re invested the lot, so I am not of the belief these players are all turd, we have been severely mismanaged and it is still going on to this day, he should have been bulleted before the World Cup and here we are accepting below mediocrity and accepting the lines Lampard is spinning that every single team is better than us.

Not this guy.
