I think this pretty much sums up my opinion at the moment. But we need some results fast

Lampards taken us into two consecutive relegation battles and some dooey eyed romantics in the fanbase want this fella to be the chosen one to keep faith in ?

Cahill at £1.5m - would be £15-20m today if not more

Arteta at £2.5m - £30-35m

Pienaar at £2m - £25m

Baines at £6.5m - at least 4 times that now

Jagielka at £4m - £25-30m

Lescott at £5m - about the same as Jags

Football transfers have evolved so much that you can’t buy good players for under £10m these days which was Moyes’ specialty

Go to any championship club now for any player and they want 15m for some who havent kicked a ball in top flight football.

The simple fact of the matter is - we cannot afford to go down - so if Lampard can’t sort things out quickly then we have to get someone in who can.

I’m all for getting out of the vicious cycle of sacking managers at the drop of a hat…but if a manager keeps losing games and relegation seems a threat then we have to change.

I might be a dreamer - but surely there is a manager out there who can get this side up into the relatively comfortable realms of 14-10th for a season or two without falling close to despair. Fans expectations are at an all time low now that it’s a much easier job to come into to some extent - I feel that we are guaranteed to drop the way things are going - unless we change tact quickly.

Agree to an extent - especially in the championship.

But there are several examples of clubs picking up bargains. Brighton seem to get multiple bargains in from South America - caciedo for 5 million was a steal.

I do think we can do much more as a club to source out better deals.

I know what you mean. But not having that process also means it’s a risk sacking him now. He showed once he can keep us up so for me I question the point of getting a so called firefighter in now to replace him. If a genuine top class manager is willing to come to us now then that’s a different story

The Scottish fella at Brighton yes, even tho that was 5 years ago now.

We also "nearly" got Kudus for 10m, so its defo doable.

I think Moyes was not backed financially when he was closest to breaking the glass ceiling of the Sky 5 back in the day.
