Yes my hope is we're doing the work nowWe actually scouted that boy tho.
He rightly picked them ahead of us.
You do know we are looking to appoint a genuine head of recruitment (not sure why we haven't done so already)Yes my hope is we're doing the work now

My hope was and still is that he can do enough to stay here for a couple of years, so that his successor inherits Lampard’s Everton, rather than Koeman/Allardyce/Silva/Carlo/Benitez/Lampard’s Everton. Even if that means finishing lower mid table. But we need to avoid dangerous relegation tailspins so we need results soon. For me it’s always been more hope than genuine belief with him and I still do hope he can turn things around.Well, if by diametrically opposite you mean...good, then I think they need to take that chance.
But seriously, I think anything we do - or don't do - now is a risk. Stick with Frank: huge risk. Sack Frank and get somebody else: huge risk.
It's about whether one believes in Frank or not. There is no science to this - other than his record of 34 points from 35 games. I have no confidence in him. He has had a full year. There have been mitigating circumstances, but we're being outperformed by clubs like Brentford, Bournemouth, and Fulham. Significantly so. We're losing to the statistically worst team in the division - at home and with a goal start. Mitigation does not go that far...
Sacking Lampard would, at any well-run club, be the logical next step. However, well-run clubs wouldn't have hired him in the first place. He got the Chelsea job purely and simply because he played for them - and was a club legend. That's EXACTLY what Everton tend to do. Is it any surprise he failed there just as he is failing here and just as most of our club legends fail with us in the end.
So, if people are nervous about sacking Frank, it's not because they seriously think, in general, that it is the wrong thing to do. It's because they are terrified what this abominably incompetent and venal board will do next. And I can't blame people for feeling like that, even if I think Frank is utterly out of his depth and the beneficiary of name recognition from his time as a player.

Have you let moshiri know ?I’d be tempted to give him till the end of January with a minimum target of 5 points from those games
Yes he said he agreesHave you let moshiri know ?
Definitely will need momentum going into February. There’s that stretch from mid February to mid March (Leeds, Villa, Forest, Brentford) that will likely determine Everton’s fateI’d be tempted to give him till the end of January with a minimum target of 5 points from those games
5-6 points from January and another 6 from February would be good IMO, with anything above that a bonusDefinitely will need momentum going into February. There’s that stretch from mid February to mid March (Leeds, Villa, Forest, Brentford) that will likely determine Everton’s fate
25 points going into March and we're 100000% going down. We only get that if Lampard is fired OR a new striker is brought in right at the start of January with or without Lampard at the helm.5-6 points from January and another 6 from February would be good IMO, with anything above that a bonus
I wouldn’t say we’re 1000% going down and don’t think we’re capable of more than that given the fixtures25 points going into March and we're 100000% going down. We only get that if Lampard is fired OR a new striker is brought in right at the start of January with or without Lampard at the helm.
