Nothing changed just because Gray pulls a worldie out of the bag. Will f*** *p against Brighton and we'll be in an even worse position, but nobody has the will to change anything. This is how we go down, people. We watch idly by and then when it's too late we ask why we didn't change things.
Equally we had the chances to win against Wolves so to say we should have lost against City you have to concede we should have won against Wolves.

Time will tell of course, I think that result will have done wonders for morale though.

[In a gravely voice] Sean, have you ever watched Blood Brothers?

One attempted to play attractive football while doing so, but looked poor at handling a defence. One played stuck to yard-dog football.

Oh, and one appears to have dealt with the defensive frailty part.
one got better results than the other

Would have gotten Dyche in.

Hes more experienced and more qualified to do what we need.
Most managers have more experience than Lampard because he’s young. On that qualification level we should bring back Benitez or maybe give Pulis or Hodgson a call.

Is he more qualified to keep us up when his team went down last season and in fact only looked like they might stay up when they sacked him? Also this wasn’t a team he was given to manage, it was very much his squad having been there for years.

Finally, Dyche is good at organising a defence but our defensive record this season isn’t the problem, we need to score goals! If there’s a manager out there who can get Maupay, Gordon, Gray and McNeil to be prolific without sacrificing the good defensive record I’m all for it but I don’t think that guy exists.

They dont exist. No one will get a tune out of our current forwards. We need forward players desperately.

We just need to grind results out, Dyche has proven track record of doing that.

Also yeah he is more qualified to keep us up, he kept burnley up way longer than they have been in the top division since the 70s.
Achieved European football in two seasons and much like Howe, eventually started to struggle though lack of investment by the club.

I couldn’t agree more, that’s why I don’t think Lampard is the problem.

If we get proper forwards in and the results don’t improve quickly then I’m more than happy to say I’m wrong but I’ve seen enough to think Lampard would do better with a better squad.

It’s a completely different situation at a different club though. It’s like saying Lampard is more likely to get us top 4 because he did it with a young Chelsea team with Tammy Abraham as it’s focal point… it’s irrelevant and sadly that Burnley squad that got europa was better going forward than ours is right now!

You’re on the losing side of the argument if you’re backing Dyche over Lampard.

He built that Burnley team over six years and still relegated them. They improved massively when he was sacked and went down anyway.

What on earth is there to suggest he’d be capable of coming in and turning this malformed Everton squad around?

Burnley are a league one size club man - Dyche had bugger all to spend there yet kept them in the PL for a long time (despite rival clubs like Fulham spending £100+ millions in the transfer market) and took them into Europe.

I'll be old and grey by the time I see Lampard take any club outside the scab 6 into europe.

That's not to say that I think Dyche would work oot here but cmon he's streets ahead of the current fella in the dugout.
