Despicable really

People won't like it but Martinez 1.56 over 143 games isnt as bad as he's made out. Supposed he did get 72 points one year tho
From Transfermarkt they claim to get their data... 36 matches PPG is 0.97

Apart from Benitez that's comparing apples and pears. Lampard came into a completely different football club to Martinez, Koeman, Allardyce, Silva, and Ancelotti.
True, I do think he's been dealt a bad hand in terms of recruitment we didn't even have a forward for the first five games and lost our talisman and goal scorer in the summer and replaced with squad players, but he could also be getting more out of the team through tactics and coaching. There's blame on both sides whatever the case it's not good enough and I like Frank and wanted him to succeed.

Bottom 8, Palace in 12th and above are 7 clear of us....

Leicester City 17 points - We lost to them
Leeds Utd 17 Points - We drew with them
Notts Forest 17 points - We drew with them
Bournemouth 16 points - We lost to them
West Ham 15 points - Beat these
Everton 15 Points
Wolves 14 points - We lost to these
Southampton - Beat these

In games against the teams we are competing with to stay up we have taken 8 points from a possible 21..... anyone else see the problem here?

Frank got to go because if this carries on we could lose to Southampton and West Ham...
That's my reluctant conclusion too I don't think we win another game with Frank here we are in a negative spiral once it starts a big change is needed. And it's not signings because there's clearly little budget we are relying on loans later in the window, so Frank must go he isn't doing well enough and I like him but it's just a results business we can't afford to go down. Giving him a humungous must win game like Southampton is very risky to me

Seen a lot of stats comparing Lampard’s performance with previous managers, points per game etc. I think it is a bit difficult to compare given the current state of the squad. I really don’t recall Everton having such a poor squad whether that is ability, fighting for the cause or whatever parameters you choose to use. The relegation dodgers of the 90’s were far better

Yes it's a substandard squad and I am not blaming Frank totally as the club is rotten from the top down it's why we keep failing. But after a year do you see a style of play?! Do you see attacking patterns? Do you see him sticking with a successful formation? Do you see good in game management, I don't. That's my worry that no matter the squad he doesn't have the tactical experience and his coaching is substandard. Yes we can put it on lack of players but he should be getting more out of the squad.

If someone comes in and gets a game out of this lot I'll be speechless.

We need a change of manager but not nearly as much as we need new players.

Agree with all of the above but I don’t think Lampard is as clueless as some make out. Yes he has made mistakes but it must be frustrating for him to try and get some momentum going given he can not rely on this bunch to perform from one week to the next.

Yes, it's always difficult to compare, but a good rule of thumb for a manager's survival hopes is he must be outperforming his immediate predecessor. That's why a manager is appointed in the first place: to do better than the guy who was sacked and whose job he has just taken. When your predecessor was the most divisive manager in the club's history - and one of its most unsuccessful - it's an obligation to outperform him. Frank hasn't. Ergo, he is toast. All about the choreography and theatre now. Bill wouldn't have it any other way. It is at moments like this where he is at his most powerful and influential and his ego engorges like a younger man's penis.

Agree its either back him and sign some quality or sack him and get someone who gets a tune even if it's just being hard to beat

He's not clueless I like him and I also think at a club who have a certain squad and set up he could be fine if anything I think a lot of his frailties are down to a lack of experience and inadequate coaching, but we have an imbalanced squad, a rotten board, and players who will down tools because the club culture is rotten. In that context, you need a strong personality and an experienced tactician
