Looking at the fixtures you can identify games we should be targeting wins; Home against Southampton, Leeds, Villa, Brentford, Fulham, Bournemouth. Realistic away games we should be able to target something from; West Ham, Forest, Palace, Wolves. Plus other games we could ground out a point as we did against City.
However we’ve lost at home against Wolves and been thrashed by Brighton at home and Bournemouth away in our last 4 league games. This squad isn’t great but with a number 10 and a reliable option up front we would be more than capable of getting out of this. I just don’t think our board is capable of delivering the new players required and don’t think Lampard can organise us effectively enough to get the required results. I’d gamble on selling Gordon and investing that money this window.
Spot on mate. We have 38 styles of play and 38 formations as in a different one every game. Even when something works he changes it and he wonders why there is no consistency. A bit of consistency in management would be a good place to start. The only game plan is to panic with 10 minutes to go and then blame the fans for not getting them over the line.Yes it's a substandard squad and I am not blaming Frank totally as the club is rotten from the top down it's why we keep failing. But after a year do you see a style of play?! Do you see attacking patterns? Do you see him sticking with a successful formation? Do you see good in game management, I don't. That's my worry that no matter the squad he doesn't have the tactical experience and his coaching is substandard. Yes we can put it on lack of players but he should be getting more out of the squad.
Fully agree about how frustrated Lampard must be. He was a top player, one of the best in the Prem era, and played alongside top players every week who all performed every week. Now he's working with a squad where none of them would make the bench at Chelsea back in the day.Agree with all of the above but I don’t think Lampard is as clueless as some make out. Yes he has made mistakes but it must be frustrating for him to try and get some momentum going given he can not rely on this bunch to perform from one week to the next.
We signed Maupay? We're relying on 3 clubs being worse than us.....Forest, Southampton and 1 other....
If Dominic Calvert-Lewin gets injured again We're 100% relegated.....the board as usual are sleep walking their way through this...we should have been active in the transfer market on January 1st, we don't have time to wait till the end of the month.....we've known we need another Striker, we've known we need another Right back to replace Coleman, we've known Richarlison hasn't been replaced, we've known Lampard doesn't want Doucoure
Southampton and West Ham games are probably the 2 biggest games of our season now....lose them and we're absolutely f**ked
The idea that this cup game should have any impact on the manager is silly, he's our worst statistical manager since Mike Walker, is doing worse than his predecessor with more money to spend, so obviously he should be out.Im curious, dont want to make a new thread or come across as overly negative.
But simple question, if we get beat tomorrow, would you :
1. Want to see Lampard sacked
2. Give him more time
Difficult one that. Have you any easier questions?Im curious, dont want to make a new thread or come across as overly negative.

The cup result is immaterial to the relegation fight, anyone who changes their opinion based on that is a plague upon humanity.Im curious, dont want to make a new thread or come across as overly negative.

Can I sit on the fence and say, it depends on the scale of any defeat?Im curious, dont want to make a new thread or come across as overly negative.
