2022/23 Frank Lampard

Frank has a super power of his likeability which is truly unrivaled.

He can have Everton in the relegation zone on a regular basis, and people still just like him. It's amazing. And as I sad yesterday, the complete dismay the fans are experiencing with the board is extremely to his advantage.

Respectfully, I have never seen so many excuses made for such a sub standard manager. It's a terrible situation for the board because if they sack him, there are still many that see his failings as BECAUSE of them (regardless of any tangible evidence that he can do it elsewhere)

But if they don't sack him, well, we are in the relegation zone and his time at the club has never been exactly stable in terms of point collection.
I think it’s the case we had Benitez and all his history from that lot before, so whoever came in they were going to be liked, but Frank talks a good game shame he can’t manage one.

Or. They have absolutely nobody lined up and havent a clue where to start.
They'll prob go for dyche or martinez as both are out of work.
You can read this Everton board like a book.
And there in lies the problem - who is next for us? Who would you choose?

Remember Lampard was the preferred choice of the fans and the board agreed.

The city game was the blueprint. Changing for Brighton was suicide. They were always going to swarm us if we were open. They are that kind of technical team. And so it proved to be. If an amateur like me can see that but a “professional” like Lampard can’t then we are done for.
I'm sure he sees it too but he just gambles unnecessarily.

Everyone on here was pleading with him to keep the same shape for Brighton we had for City...and one he'll likely to return to tonight for an inconsequential cup tie at United.

He gambled last season too when we had points in the bag in the run in during games against our nearest relegation threatened competitors: just kept on going for it when we had decent draws and decent away wins almost secured and Frank wanted to turn the draw into a win and a win into a clear cut win.

It's the fact that we know he can set up to get results we need but wont that's decided his fate for me. He has to go, because he wont learn.

It's not like when Roberto kept going for it when he was here btw, because that's the only gear Roberto had: just attack the opposition. Frank has shown he can do both parts of the game and chooses way too many times the worst possible moments to choose playing open.

Appreciate that mate but him getting sacked all feels a bit moot now doesn't it.

It’s an inevitability and I’d rather it just be over and done with at this point. It’s not going to change anything as we’re a complete lost cause with this squad, but it just needs to be done, dragging it out does no one any favours.

Not all fans tbh. The getting rid of benitez factor had something to do with it.
I was 50/50. I was more give a younger manager a chance. But at least provide him with something up front to manage. We're still the worst in the league in that dept.

I agree but I feel the club is about to be up in the air. What manager would take on the job when the fans don't want their boss to be in charge?

I’m conflicted for once.

I like Frank, and I dislike managerial changes, stability is best.

However, is he the guy?
Exactly mate. I think 90% of the fans think the same way.
I mean every manger we want to do well but Frank especially so. Comes across really well but 3 wins out of 18 says it all really.

Probably his last day in charge today, or at least it should be but who knows with the muppets that run this club.
