2022/23 Frank Lampard

He hasn’t had a striker and lost the best attacking player in Richie. On top of that Gray and Gordon haven’t been as good as predicted. We’ve had plenty of games that we would’ve won with better attaching players.
Are you saying Frank is turning down attacking players that are being offered to him? Come on.
I don't know what is going on in Frank's head, mate, but he's the boss of on the field stuff, and a big voice off the field. It's not like Richie stepped on a land mine the second a transfer window shut. There have been purchases, sales, non-sales, and in and out loans. It's up to Frank to ensure that we have an adequate strike force, together with midfield and defence, at least for mid or lower mid table, and he hasn't done it. Whether that's because players aren't good enough, or his tactics, selection, and motivation, I'm not sure. It's his job to achieve at least middling results, and he's had sufficient time and resource to do that, and yet is very likely to get us relegated.

What on earth has he done to command this level of support apart from replace a reviled figure and talk about how much he gets us? He has won 4 games the entire season, we'd have pushed Benitez (as difficult as it would have been) into the river if he had that record and was given more time. Zero standards from either us or the board anymore, just pathetic

The problem he’s got as well is the fixtures after Southampton.

West Ham (A)
Arsenal (H)
Liverpool (A)

Leeds and Villa at home after that give some respite, but even with a Southampton win it’s likely we’ll be back in the bottom three by then the way we’re playing.

Problem is say he wins against Saints does it prove he's a good manager or is it just papering over the cracks by beating the very worst team the only team worse than us? So you either back him or sack him now. For me it's the latter because I've seen enough of his tactics to not be confident that we don't lose both! But I agree if they are keeping him back him with the players we are desperate for, but if he keeps losing they will sack him anyway, god it's a mess
No it doesn’t prove he’s a good manager and it probably is papering over the cracks but that’s all we can really hope for with the lingering buffoons we have in charge. The board have had numerous years of proof that they cannot be trusted to do anything which will be for the betterment of this fine club, letting the playing squad get worse and worse each season is on them, not the latest manager who had his only fit, goalscoring, match-winning talisman sold to keep the club from having a points deduction.

You can’t polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter.…

Most people, myself included, put Man City away as a possible 6 or 7 nil. Guarenteed no points.

This all should’ve happened after the Bournemouth game/s. It’s gross negligence even by this clubs current standards. The fact we’re now 4 games after the World Cup break and there’s no sniff of a replacement is shocking
I believe they hoped time to rest the players, train on the playing field and bring Dom back would help remedy the situation, but it appears not.

We did a good job against City, and the performance last night wasn't too shabby either. Our real problem is, as you mention, against the likes of Bournemouth.

A point against City is diminished if you then lose to a dreadful Wolves and capitulate against Brighton. To be fair, even draws would have put us in a safer place.

Based on the performance of the squad last season, how do you honestly think that having Richarlison sold and replaced with players you didn’t want counts as having the resource to do anything other than scrap relegation again

That puts Kenwright in a bit of a dilemma.

We lose and they sack Lampard, but Moyes keeps his job.

We win and Lampard stays but Moyes is sacked.
Moyes is not the answer imo. A lot of the issues we have here with Frank are the same issues that West Ham fans have got with Moyes, tactics, in game management, some of his signings (despite spending a hell of a lot of money in the summer) He is showing little sign of having any solutions to these problems at the moment.
