Hmm, a Rafael fan. He is available I understand so you would see him as an upgrade on Frank? I would prefer the German Herr Flick, f the RS sack him soon.

Did he, well no actually he didnt, sorry to do this too you but i do love it when someone tries to pull me up and makes a complete fool of themselves, but so far this season we have played 18 games and have 15 points, were in the bottom three, have a look on the BBC website if you dont believe me. After the same amount of games last season we had 19 points, 4 points better off...... unlucky mate, but Rafael was a much better manager
Benitez deserved sacking for far more than the results under him. Lampard’s stats are worse but at least he tried to get the fans on side. Benitez went out of his way to p1ss us off. I wasn’t trying to pull you up, just point out that the manager who most deserved sacking was the fat Spaniard. Even so, four points doesn’t make Benitez a much better manager, just a slightly less worse one. Let’s face it, we’re arguing about varying degrees of sh1te. None of them have been good enough for our club.

Fair play mate, neither good enough for Everton

It's a good example. Do you have any faith that Lampard or the coaches have sat down with him and gone through the videos of the many times he's done this and showed him how to improve? A good manager makes sure that's done with every player.

Maybe Frank and the coaches are doing this every week and are being ignored. Maybe. Bar Iwobi, players are getting worse, not better, in this setup.
I do based on a comment he made last season that benitez was sitting him down to improve him also and it hasn't seen any real improvement beyond a small patch of form. One thing I have learned watching this side these past several years is that without a footballing brain many players struggle no matter how much talent they have. We have signed a lot of players who have made up the bulk of the squad now that lack this brain , that they know how to play football but in a team game, play direct for themselves.

One improvement I've seen this season with lampard is that last year the wingers often didn't know where to be and played in each others space but how stay in their own lane so to speak. Without an end product to speak of though it's ineffective and renders the striker spending more time in midfield than having chances created for them. Even putting lewen in there the plan is to play crosses but without the quality to deliver them, or the knowhow to play that rather than directly on the ground.

We can't play deep as we have no outlet , have no set piece threat and no brain to play to a striker on the counter. The biggest thing that's an issue for lampard and whoever we replace him with is how often chances start against us around the opposition box. We don't have the players who look to keep attacking, a simple needless ball sidewards instead of forward seems to cost us more and more. No matter who the manager is you can't stop a player doing that or switching off for that moment in defence. So it's these issues that build up that are our biggest problem and away from a complete replacement of the forward line which we cannot do now, these issues won't go away. It will keep costing us and it comes back to that footballing brain that many of these players lack but the same one that managers such as pep look for to drill tactics into them.

Or we could post his PPG every hour and ask why he hasnt been sacked yet.

:hayee:
He hasn't been sacked because the board and owner have no plan and are terrified of getting the wrong replacement because the focus is now rightly on them rather than just the manager.

He does deserve to be sacked 100% but deep down i would love him to turn it around, even though I dont really believe he can.

Saturday is make or break for Lampard and probably our season as well. If he doesnt win then I'll be astonished if he survives. If we lose the game, I'll be very surprised if we stay up.

It shouldn't be all on 1 game but thats what the club will do in their own short sighted and incompetent way.

Precisely.

This squad is a relegation-battling one whichever manager is in charge.

Sean Dyche or Marcelino or whoever else, while better managers I'm sure (Marcelino definitely is) aren't going to make this side a safe mid-table team, because it is not good enough.

People need to get that into their heads.

Everton need to make signings, regardless of who the manager is.
Remind me again how many players have arrived in the last 12 months? You know, under this management ’team’?

Lampard wasn't in place 12 months ago. He was hired on Jan 31st, officially, the day that we signed Dele and VdB. Neither worked out though VdB more due to injury.

The DoF came in place in Feb and as of yet has so far failed to hire a head of recruitment (or officially announce one). The head of recruitment at any club is the one that should work directly with the manager to establish what players are required. Whether a DoF is in place or not, every club should have a head of recruitment.

Everton signed 8 players in the summer: Tarkowski, Vinagre, McNeil, Onana, Coady, Garner, Gueye, Maupay.

For a lot of reasons, Everton were limited in what they could do. The combined up front fees paid for those eight players come to about £25m. Richarlison was sold, stripping the side of one of the last bits of quality.

The summer recruitment was okay to a point. But lacked quality where it mattered - and where the most money needed to be spent, which was in the atatck.
