If lamps gets sacked he will eventually walk into another job cos of his name, if he walks then more questions will be asked by other clubs, its not good for your CV walking out of a club when fighting relegation.,

Be careful what you wish for you might just get it..mistake sacking Benitez imo sure it wasnt great but we wouldnt have been a relegation battle last season and should have been given another season to build the team the way he wanted..he may not have been the man for job but Lampard has been a disaster, hyped up by the media desperate for a young English manager to succeed..Benitez may not have had many mates in the media but at least he had a track record and deserved more time and the benefit of the doubt..they should fire Lamps and rehire Rafael as a way of apology for the disrespect shown..not much to lose now anyway

It's pure ego and sheer delusion if you can't see you are causing harm with you actions at this point. It's also a very basic definition of greed to do something that causes others harm for the gain of personal wealth, in fact it might go beyond and that and be sociopathic
So football managers who don't resign because the fans think they should is because they are sociopathic egotists driven by greed for personal wealth? Don't even know where to begin with that level of thinking, other than to say here in the real world, people who want to be Prem managers and are Prem managers do not voluntarily quit top jobs and forfeit obligated 7 figure pay offs from whoever happens to be their current employer just because the fans don't like them. Expecting anyone to willingly forgo their entitled compensation in any job or walk of life is lunacy not reality.

We were in a death spiral with Benitez similar to now.
Two issues with Benitez in order

1. He should never have been hired
2. He should of been sacked earlier

Funny enough these two points also apply to Lampard

Why shouldnt he have been hired? Cos of his LFC connection or his overall track record?

You are right, long term we can’t defend our way to European glory. It’s not a nice thought, but this team isn’t attacking their way out of trouble in the space of 4 months. No chance. Attacking or at least attractive and effective patterns and philosophies can take months or seasons to drill into even smart talented players before it becomes consistent. If it was so easy top managers would happily go to struggling teams and flip them to success all over the shop. There is a reason why all the managers historically known for keeping bad teams up played the same ugly nasty negative football, scraping points in desperation. Squads low on confidence and quality can’t implement the styles we all want. If they could they wouldn’t be crap.
Didn't take long for the guy at Brighton.

But weren't most fans happy with Lampard's appointment initially?

AS long as Lampard remains we are doomed
The first thing that should have been done was never to appoint him
The least thing we can do is fight by getting rid of him
The Board's biggest failure is sticking with him
He is our worst manager for decades and if given the chance will surpass Mike Walker
If he boasts of managing Chelsea in the Champions league he should be reminded that Chelsea won the Champions league when he got sacked
If he has any dignity he should resign
He failed miserably
People who defended him are clueless............

Is it? The biggest failure of this Board in the Moshiri era? Really?
