No we didn’t.

Where was this option mate?

My voting slip must have got lost in the mail

Did you see the graffiti? Did you see the negative reaction to Pereira? On here and across the board most people were like okay we will take Frank - we don't need to vote to still be heard. See below for the rest...

If true: The fact the people making decisions are swayed by one man and a tin of spray paint proves they shouldn’t be running a football club in the first place.

The fact that the only 2 managerial candidates were Lampard and Pereira at all is another issue in itself.

I agree we should not be run by committee or fear as it is an issue by itself, but there were extreme mitigating circumstances in play. He did the I'm billy big bollox in the summer picking Benitez and it failed horribly. Could he risk doing that twice in a row?

The 2nd paragraph is spot on and more to the point, at the end of the day we are not privy to know who applied or who turned us down. It is quite clear from a transfer point of view we could only offer the incoming manager a budget of 35p and a chomp bar...so the pickings were always going to be slim.

As crazy as it sounds, I want us to lose the West Ham game, because he needs to go, whats the point in him winning that game and carrying on? Complete utter recklessness to let that happen

That is mental that you want us to lose a game.

I absolutely detested Benitez but I never wanted Everton to lose a game under him.

We've got 19 games left, we need 8 wins to guarantee safety, so I don't want us to lose.

100% agreed

Worth pointing out that, as much as some people hate it, underlying data is important in football. It might not necessarily be relevant to any one specific game but over time, results fall in line with underlying performance data as we've seen this season

The underlying numbers when Allardyce was here were not good. It's fanciful to suggest that he'd have been a great long term bet.
I don’t believe anyone was expecting Allardyce to be here a a long term manager
I think a fair few thought after finishing 8th he deserved another 12mths
I think in them 12mths he could of got us a team difficult to beat, and a good base for a more progressive attack minded manager to take over after the 12mths

Strangely that’s what a lot of people are wanting/expecting of Dyche

"...you can’t just take rash decisions. We have two big games, Saturday and on the 21st… that’s the only focus". - Moshiri.

He said that at the end of a point about the board of directors, but he's obviously not going to take a decision to deal with them post West Ham game. The focus is on the team's performance, and that means a defeat has to see Lampard sacked.

Hopefully we win and he isn't sacked...and he's then handed a striker. But my suspicion / fear is that we wont win and any win we do get will be wasted as Lamaprd fails to get things right in a lot more games.

It will be a draw, and then no one will know what to do

We'll get relegated with whoever is in charge of this squad, though.

People really need to understand this.

And I'm not backing Lampard. The bloke's useless and looks absolutely lost.

But this squad is CRAP.
OK so why not give yourself the best chance with sacking said useless manager and replacing with someone who's not useless

A change of manager will make a difference. An experience manager will make a big difference.

Let's not forget that the tide of opinion was that Lampard was by far the better choice.

Pereira had his mad on-air appeal for the job on Sky that turned everyone off him.

It's fair to question why those two were the leading candidates (or even why Dunc was a third) - but I think of them, the overwhelming majority wanted Lampard.

I know I did.
Yeah Lampard was my preferred choice out of the candidates too. But I don’t remember the club asking me.

That isn't guaranteed, and there are countless examples of a change in management altering a team of the same players to a huge level of change. What hope we have and its a small one is getting rid of lampard. Being okay with him staying is absolute lunacy and a lack of understanding of what makes businesses or corporations slide into a decline that can't be halted.

We had by a country mile the best player on the pitch and lampard found a way to lose through a tactical change that shows such a lack of understanding I can't believe we are talking about a generational player. Albeit one who was always allowed to play with complete tactical freedom because of his goal return.

I know, its mental.

But if we win 1 game with Lampard and continue with him, we will go down regardless.
