It wouldn't be a surprise if the cowards that are running the club are waiting for the home support to turn on Lampard before sacking him so that they can absolve themselves of blame. Today's comments to the Sky reporter are a testament to that.

No easy fixes here - we have to try changing the manager but it's unlikely to make much difference. The main problems are that the players are rubbish and the culture of the club is pathetic due to the disastrous leadership of the board and owner.

You aren't wrong. Everything's a problem - the owner's a problem, the board is a problem, the players are the problem, the manager is the problem.

We are in a position where everything needs to change, but there is only one of those problems can be changed overnight and that's the manager, so that's where it has to start.

Long term we need the owner to sell, the board to be removed and the playing squad turned around. But tonight we just need the manager sacked.
