2022/23 Frank Lampard

I like Frank but his face is starting to grate on me, always looks cheesed off, is able to smile in one second in another look totally miserable.
I'm wondering if the pornhub 'ammers would do swapsies on managers ??
I read what you are writing about the sour fizzog bit, but I think that is just largely Frank being Frank (no pun).
We didn't see too much of him in his playing days as he always played in teams way above our level. When we did see him we rarely took much notice, or it was just after the team he played for had beaten us, so we didn't like him anyway.
Looking back over the years, even the young Frank portrayed a face that either shone brightly, or looked like a bulldog chewing a nettle.
A bit of hair loss and some weight gain and the burden of the Everton overlords to contend with, I'm surprised he can even afford a smile these days.

His demeanor has clearly shifted over the last few weeks. Personally I reckon he's feeling the pressure of this window yeno. I also think he can sense the general malaise on social media.

We're defending mostly fine but we're not scoring goals

If he can keep doing the former whilst remedying the latter then he has nothing to worry about IMO

A lot of us will take avoiding the drop and an improvement from last season in the way we play. Not a good season by any stretch, but one we can live with and hopefully build on

Some won't accept that of course, but I don't think the enormity of the task facing the manager has really dawned on them yet

Mid table and a cup would be our best season in decades and Frank seemed to put emphasis on a cup run in recent interviews. We will need some luck but I want to hope we can finally stop the lack of trophies.

It's coming to something when we're starting having a go at the manager for how he looks in press conferences.
Nah, I'm not having a pop, I just wonder if he really wants this anymore, it has to be a tough gig knowing what you need and also knowing the club are terrible at getting stuff done in a timely manner.....actually in any manner. The board are dogs.

I always thought he was a serious type as a player. Top class but unspectacular.
He lit the place up last season though. Smiles all round.
Certainly looks grumpy so far this term.

I just think every time Lampard has played a 433 he's tried to push us high, apart from v United, when we had Delph as the 6. If he does that again, then we need a 6, which we don't have...

We didn't play 433 v Newcastle. Gordon played off Richarlison in like a 4411.

But regardless, I do want us to go down the 433 route, but you've conveniently ignored the following results

Crystal Palace 4-0 Everton
Southampton 2-0 Everton
Spurs 5-0 Everton

We got battered in a few games as well, especially when we pressed too high. I think once we get more players in - if we do - then we'll see a shift to 433 but for now he wants the structure that 343 brings, and if we had a decent forward line we'd look a lot better regardless of what system we're playing.
