Just my take on this.

He's been asked the Gordon questions for a good while now.
He admitted the other day everyone knows about the interest.
This morning it changed ( significantly ) "There's been no bid from Chelsea"

Has there/ is there discussions swap deals for Gallagher & or Broja ?
Is this why he's held on for a loan deal ?

Then it could be down to valuations , plus it there's no deal He gets to keep Gordon.

Just my take imo.

It could change if Chelsea or any other club put big cash on the table between £60M and £70m, but short of that Gordon looks like he's a red-line for Lampard.

He needs to be congratulated and supported for that if it has been his position.

When the likes of Anthony are going for 80 mill that shows you the market. Lampard within his rights to just say no.

His demeanour felt a bit more positive this morning but it's probably hard to read too much into it. It could a number of factors. He's getting a forward, we just won a game, Calvert Lewin is 2 weeks from fitness (hopefully).

If the 60m does come in then he will still be sold in my opinion

I haven’t seen the interview, but if Lampard has confirmed that there has been no bid from Chelsea, I think this confirms my view that this has all been a load of media nonsense. There is absolutely no way that Everton would be turning down bids of 40 or 50 million for Gordon.

Don't think it is nonsense tbh.

Far too much chatter for it to be that ,.more down to what or who he gets to replace Gordon with.

I think he said there's been no bid of 60m, not that there's been no bid at all. Reading between the lines it could be that the "60m" bid was quite a small upfront fee with tons of add ons

Important we try to get something out of tomorrow's match. Hope Lampard sets us up where we can at least get a draw. Sometimes the result is more important than the performance. Brentford are decent, but we can't keep on losing these games. Time to stand up Lampard, you speak well, time for action.

I think he said they haven't bid £60m for me that means in any form. Could be they had bid £40/50m but not £60m,. For me it was just a play on the words to get through the presser.

He didn't though.... He said there'd been no 60m bid. Not, no bid.

Regardless, it does seem from the rumours of late that the plan is (at the moment) with Gordon, not without.

Transfer windows are a moveable feast though.

People saying this but dont know whether powers that be are Everton, or Premier League;

Question: The fact that the window is still open like this and you're still looking to do deals, how does it impact you day-to-day because obviously you've got to think about and concentrate on preperations for the games"

Lampard: "It is what it is. This job is consuming in many ways, we're very fortunate to have these jobs and I'm very fortunate to do what I do. You strive every day to improve the club and the team and while the window is open, it's part of your job. I hope the powers that be understand this isn't the perfect way to do it. It's far too long into the season. There's no doubt. We want to look into the season with an idea about fairness, well fairness isnt the right word but balance to the season that teams can construct a squad that can go from the start of the season to the end of the season and now we're going to be, by the time the window shuts, we're nigh on 6 games in. It's a lot of games, for me it doesn't feel right. I hope they get that right next time"
The fact that the Everton board have no say in how long the transfer window runs into the season, should make it pretty clear.... Even for those that don't want to believe it.

Any talk of sacking or walking away, why can't we ever let a manager have the time needed. Arsenal gave Arteta time, he had a lot of issues and now it's coming together because they looked at the bigger picture. Sacking and replacing managers all the time has got us in this mess.

We have a good coaching team, if allowed to work on the squad longer than 5 minutes I am sure we will see the improvements. A lot of this squad are still a bit fragile and short on confidence, it needs turning around and that takes time. However, Thelwell and Lampard seem to have a plan and are working towards it.

Support, just stop even thinking of a managerial change and get behind the one we have.

All the beauts squawking fro him to be binned would turn on his replacement in 3 months if he didn't have this bunch playing the Galactico era Madrid. The utter ballon ho sits behind me was raging about people mentioning Eddie Howe as a managerial candidate a while back. Against Forest he was bitching about Lampard and said “we missed out on Eddie Howe, he would have done a much better job that this fraud”.

now, Eddie Howe has done a good job at Newcastle, but then he did a bloody good job at Bournemouth with no money and a tiny crowd. My point being that these managers are up against so much insanity when the come to us, even Ancellotti was catching it from us towards the end for heavens sake. He has now bought at least half the first team, lets give him a season to see what he can domwith them. Some of the passages of play against Forest were really nice, I am confident he will get us performing, but I am equally confident that he will still have some of the mouth-frother’s trying to drive him out.
