Exactly
Disallowed goals are ....disallowed , we've had many of them ( Coady @The Derby).
We where undone by 2 mistakes and punished accordingly by World Class players.
Yet we hung in there & could have got a point or even 3.
Poor performance yet we where always in the game , that's not something we've been used to.
But by the same token mistakes are… mistakes. They’re part of the game, they happen all the time. I think saying we just lost because we made 2 mistakes is a very simplistic way of looking at it personally, we were very poor for the majority of the game and certainly in the first half they were much better than us.

That’s ok though, because they are much better than us. They’ll finish top 6 at worst, I’d be happy if we finish 12th. There’s no need to go overboard about how bad we were but no need to ignore it either, in the end we could have got it back to 2-2 but I thought on balance we were lucky it was only 2-1 at half time so I can see both sides.

I do support him, but I wont back him if he deviates from the script that got us unbeaten for 6 games or so.

If Lampard wants to impress people in the game that he's a manager to take note of then he has to acknowledge the players' limitations and play within them.

That was atrocious tonight and I lay the bulk of the blame at his door.
David go and get a happy meal ffs

Over complicating this Dave: we made two mistakes in midfield which led to two brilliantly executed goals by 1) one of the greatest goalscorers of all time 2) a £70M winger who is one of the hottest talents in World football.

Wasn't just those two incidents though. And the mistakes we mad weren't down to a concerted press either.

They were arseing round trying to play past opponents in dangerous places such as in the final third and in the centre of the pitch.

He didn't make the schoolboy mistakes that cost us tonight.
When Iwobi & Gana gave the ball away that is nothing he can legislate for.

But the point stands. We were unlucky to be punished on those two occasions, no?

FFS, countless times dawdling on the ball in defence and midfield - Iwobi trying to do a stepover and Mykolenko trying to dance his way out of the 18 yard box.

That was suicidal, even against a bang average United outfit.
We struggle with the press and playing out around it.

It’s how everyone is going to set up against it, it’s match day 9, at this stage the element of surprise is gone and everyone knows how want to set up and play.

Spurs definitely don't have these two things :coffee:

There's only one team getting battered next weekend - and it isn't Spurs

He;s the manager and I we all know he is keen to see us evolve into a different type of game with a lot more football. That happened tonight and we got beat because of it.

I am 100% in Lampard';s camp, but I wont tolerate BS calls on the ability of this team to play football against decent opposition.
