It's funny because this is literally all Lampard brings to the tableHe idolises Jesse Marsch, I think his team talks would amount to “BLUE GUYS, FIGHT AND WINNNNNNN”

It means most good players are good because they shoot a lot not because they are much more accurate. Son is the exception.

What a load of BS. Of course he's wrong! He's acting like both chances were them waiting by the penalty spot after wonderful Franky football and Onana and Gray spooned the chance over the bar. ffs both of them fashioned a chance from absolute nothing! But we missed two clear cut chances so usually yes, you score at least one of them if you have any sort of composure in front of goal.
This argument you’re making again smacks of someone who didn’t actually watch the game and just looked at the stats and went “oh we had 4 shots and 0 on target so we clearly didn’t create any chances” when in reality we had the clearest chances from open play in the game and ballooned both of them into the Thames. He’s not wrong, our attacking players utterly stink.
Yes mate. This might come as a shock but sometimes players miss.????
Are you saying that a decent premier league forward wouldn’t score that Gray chance if it was his only shot of the game just because he hasn’t had 45 other shots??
I'm curious as to what else you see him providing then? It’s funny because it actually isn’t and he’s above Jesse Marsch.
I mean we sit on our 18 yard line and offer no support to our forwards. Our full backs dont overlap, our midfielders dont get in the box, bar Onana maybe twice on Saturday, and we cant just put crosses into the box cause Maupays abar 5 foot 5. We hang our forwards out to dry tbh, we rely on a moment of magic or a defensive mistake to get anything. The good teams, when theyre in attacking possession, have all their players in the opponents half and press and try to win the ball high up. Full back overlapping, midfielders making runs into the box, actually attacking as a team. Not 8 defenders and 3 attackers. Look at Newcastle vs Utd at the weekend. Got a point because they actually went out to play and win. It's a lack of talent in attack. You can only improve so much in front of goal if the talent and natural ability is not there. The manager needed to be provided with more firepower in the summer.

The point is that Lampard is not a helpless victim. He makes choices that contribute to decisions. This is his team now. Like any, it is a work-in-progress. He is working under constraints, but he has authority and responsibility along with the senior executives at this club for results. Managers at Everton have been let down by recruitment for years. It's part of the job description. He took the job. He knows the game.He had his best attacker sold, that didn't happen the previous summer. I'm sure money would have been provided to Benitez if he made a £60m sale.
And yes, I do believe the manager was let down by the recruitment. The main priority should have been replacing Richarlison and Calvert Lewin, instead we focused on other areas.

Because that person doesn't existYour point is really getting lost on me. Why don’t we just buy a forward who doesn’t miss guilt edged chances to replace the Championship’s Demarai Gray?
Yes, maybe one time a season you score two goals from those four shots but a far better way to win football matches is to at least compete against the other team in possession, territory and the volume of chances.
Missing the forest for the trees.

If the standard is improvement on Rafael we could have saved about 100k a week and given the job to the next guy on the line who needed work for 15 an hour.We can actually defend and keep a shape, and rarely concede from set pieces. That’s an instant and obvious improvement on the previous manager. But you’d have to watch the games to see that as WhoScored won’t tell you.
