Dave, please. Your support is too over the top. Lampard can't live up to all this positive support you are heaping on him in every thread
I have to clarify. There's no way we should be getting shut of him, but we know what Moshiri is.

If we're going into the WC with no more wins Lampard wont survive.

Let's all hope we do get results and Lampard gets the chance to correct the huge bollock he dropped in not signing a forward to replace Richarlison.

A time refection i think between now and the weekend.

I think we may be at the point we were after Spurs last season, we’re a decision has to be made if this game plan is working…..

I don’t think it is, the possession based game isn’t working, I don’t think we have the threat for it and I don’t think the offensive unit is being coached well or the game plan apt, our forward players are isolated and they aren’t supported by their team mates, Gordon and Gray alone Vs 3/4 players on the wing with no suppport, Dominic Calvert-Lewin similar. It’s to slow, to predictable, not supported particularly by midfield.

Overall he needs to look at his philosophy and the possession based plan, it’s not working. All the goals we scored this season have been by direct ball, the possession based game doesn’t work for us.

Frank needs to look at this.
Everton football is direct football and aggressive pressing. We need to see that on Saturday.

The players didn't want to take responsibility on the ball to pass forward tonight. I thought a few of them looked like they didn't want the ball.

And what's to say we won't go the same way this season when we are ALREADY 50% worse off than the disastrous Benitez managed last season.

For what it's worth, I don't think it will be as bad, but it is definitely not good enough right now and there is no tangible evidence that Lampard is anything other than an interim appointment clinging on grimly to his job in the manner of his fellow Tory, Liz Truss.

Levelling up, mate.

Because we're never out of games. The last 3 games we've been in them and with some cutting edge we'd get a result. We had 7 draws last season. We're on 4 now.

Never anything like that under Benitez with one of the worst goals against in the league.

We should be looking at each game each week, seeing what's working what's not, what to improve with a young squad. Not "we're getting relegated"

I wasn’t happy with the attitude or bravery tonight at all mate, I don’t disagree.

Unfortunately yes. That performance tonight really annoyed me a lot. It was everything bad from last season in terms of lack of courage, fight and commitment.

Oh I agree. I said in the game we barely crossed the ball into the box.

Lampard wants that "between the lines" stuff which we still don't have the players for. Get it wide, get it in the box

I know it's depressing right now. I just think back to when Howard Kendall was in charge not just 83/84 but the first season 81/82 they had some bad results and struggled. We have to give Lampard time. As much as I hate losing we just have to take it on the chin. We forget where we're coming from last season and years of mismanagement. As the players say, we go again.
