To be successful in football you have to be ruthless, look at Chelsea, why are they successful ? Cos they are ruthless. Oh we got to give Frank time, he’s bought the fans together, he speaks well, he’s young and up coming. I couldn’t care less about this, I just want us to pick up points so we aren’t in a relegation battle.

Martinez speaks well, at least he plays decent attacking football. We have scored 8 goals in about 12 matches, disgraceful, Bournemouth have scored more than us.

After 11 games we'd just lost to Watford 5.2. We would then win 2 games in 13 losing 11 of them.

5 points better off than last season is completely irrelevant when it turned into one of the worst Everton sides to grace the league.

We've lost narrowly to 4 teams (2 away from home) who will be in the top 7 of the league.

Levels mate.
 
There are some obvious things on which to assess the manager.

First, and most obviously, results. Meanwhile, these can at times be strongly influenced by coincidence.

The second thing you can assess the manager is whether you can see a clear style of play. That is, something that repeats itself from match to match - regardless of the result. We can call it identity. This is what you practice on the training field.

The third factor is player development and the purchase of players. It is about the development of players, and whether you are able to correctly identify players for the system you are building.

The fourth factor is tactics. Is the style of play correct, according to the players available, and do you have the ability to adjust depending on the opponent, the match situation, etc.

Well to a point he was. James, Digne, Richarlison etc were more creative.

He was not a key man, he was an ageing player who would have been on tbe bench. Its incomparable to Richarlison. It's why Richarlison has gone for 60m, and nobody wants to sign Sigurdsson.
