Think that has more to do with the fact there's a Saudi TV deal worth millions that relies on Newcastle being in the league.

Since that TV deal came into effect Newcastle has gone from not winning a game to top 6 form and not being beaten at home since April. I dont think its coincidence personally.

Obviously deserves to be questioned as much as our players. His inexperience cant be used as an excuse, he needs to find answers to difficult situations.

What I will say is he surely knows how terrible we are going forward, but the number one priority over the summer was to make us less of a laughing stock defensively, which so far I'd say he has done. But thats come at the cost of any sort of attacking cohesion in a side which already lacked proper quality going forward.

The last 3 games have given us a huge reminder that this season is going to be nothing other than a struggle, can only hope we strengthen going forward in January but I think he is well well aware of it.

The damage created by the appointment of RB still lingers. FL may be collateral damage with such a limited squad. System needs a reset though. The stats don't lie.

It pains me to say it because he did a reasonable job in keeping us up last season, but I don't think Frank is the long term solution. Our two wins this season were fortunate and could have easily gone the other way. Even the worst team in the division by a country mile (forest) should have beaten us. We look clueless in the final third. Gray is style over substance. Gordon is listening too much too his own hype. Long balls up to the smallest man on the pitch Maupay. Maybe a return for Roberto Martinez back after the world cup.....

Many did when the signs were he was struggling. His passion bought him slack but I never bought into all that. It’s all a bit easy all that nonsense. Ultimately we scraped over the line. We look bottom 5 fodder this season and it will be close again.

Had we done no business in the summer I would have had sympathy for him but we've brought in 2x quality CB's, Patterson is fantastic, Onana/Gana/Iwobi are far from awful its only the forwards who are admittedly poor but a good manager gets blood from a stone look at Moyes in the early years of his tenure.

His subs are always too late
Game management which feeds into that is poor

He loves Gordon and never drops him / same as Myko and both are not doing enough to justify getting regular game time.

Tonight McNeil should have been on the pitch putting balls in the box for a CF who thrives off crosses into the box. Instead he plays Gordon and Gray who are terrified of whipping one in.

It's poor stuff and 1 win every now and again isn't going to convince me he's the answer long term particularly looking at his Chelsea/Derby stints.

Well it's under that as theres 38 games in a season. Either way, nobody had him pegged as our key man.
When you are injured/suspended, you are only eligible for those you are available for: 36. Either way, he was one of the more creative players in our squad - the club's record signing.
