I feel like when we are away from home he gives the midfielders far too much freedom. They’re still a new midfield so you can forgive them for being all over the place at times, but watching them it’s like they all have a license to go wherever they want.

I’d rather he told 2 of them to sit and 1 to push on, especially for the first 10-20 min, then adapt it around that.

A good point and clean sheet away from home, though.

I definitely think his defending is great, I just think he has enough about him that he should have a bit more confidence getting forward and making space for his winger. Gray can take a player on but if he's getting doubled up on cause Mykolenko is miles behind him he's not gonna have much success.
I get where you’re coming from, and he’s defo got room for improvement in the final third (albeit I don’t thing he’s quite as bad as is made out), I more meant he was maybe pegged back a bit today.
There’s the argument that if he’d been getting froward more their R/B would be the one getting pegged back though!

Agree with this. Needed two sitting second half today. Don’t think the garner for gana sub helped. Iwobi out wide and Gordon/grey off for me.

Until Gordon and Gray are replaced and replaced they need to be, we just won't consistently carry a threat game in game out.

They're by far the 2 weakest players in the system we currently play. When Iwobi isn't at his absolute best (which he wasn't 2nd half) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is isolated, that's 4 players getting carried by the working hard players.

The buck stops with the manager for persisting with the pair of em.

McNeil should be starting games over one and/or Maupay utilised in the Richy role.

You know that's bull. It's lack of options. He plays them because they're better options than Mcneil and Maupay in those positions.

We need money, we need strength in depth so that they can be benched and earn their place.

Edit actually that comes across as harsh by me so I do apologise. I would have had no complaints if Mcneil started today you were right

Debatable my friend.

Gordon and Gray are too similiar for my liking - one on the pitch is fine but the pair of em go missing / have the same weakness in their play to be on the pitch together.

McNeil and Gray for me now we have a CF Mcneil can welly a cross at - Lampard needs to stop simping over "Star Bhoy" and also punt Coleman back to the bench whilst he's at it.

You need to spend some time off the internet talking to real people.

Made us harder to beat and that is what he needed to do. I am sure he has plans to inprove the forward line
Agree. Taking small but important steps. He is not yet in a position to be a spend thrift to sort it out so has to start from where we were abysmal last season. Half a job done and now to work on the rest (up front).
