Our first choice front three cost 4 million combined. There won’t be another team in the league close to this. Just not enough.

To back that up we have McNeill (20 mill) Maupay (15 mill) and Rondon (free)

That’s 6 attacking players that cost 39 million. I doubt there’s a team in the league with as cheap a strike force.

For comparison Newcastle are trying to push the top 6 and they have Isaak (58 mill) Saint Maximin (16 mill) Callum Wilson (20 mill) Almiron (20 mill) Joelinton (40 mill) Chris Wood (20 mill)

That’s not even getting into what the top 6 have paid.
Agree 100%. It’s such a poor front 6, 7 if you include Townsend. Only DCL is top half prem starting quality.

It’s right up there with the weakest front options in the league. That’s the reality.

Exactly and it will be improved just like the defence and midfield which was the priority and has been done

Wowsers. OK I'm having a lazy Sunday I might have a go at this.

Watching his post match interviews and press conference, he’s raging at the attacking display - having to fight really hard and bite his tongue not to really go in on the players. Lots of praise for the defence but can tell he’s focussed on how poor we were going forward. He knows some of these players are miles off the standard needed to take us forward.

Yeah interesting, thanks for doing that - stark when you look at the options other teams have. Iwobi skews the picture a bit for us and was a good few seasons ago now that we paid that silly money for him.

Huge underinvestment in the forward line and bringing in players who have less quality then the players they replaced - not a recipe for a creative/goal scoring team. Not really surprising we aren’t good going forward.
