Problem is when ppl come out with that nonsense they try and mention James and Lucas and make complete fools of themselves, when one had down tools the end of the previous season and made it clear then he wasn't interested, and the other had been awful for 12 months prior anyway.

As for James, he couldn't of possibly of known Rafael would be coming to save us, not when he gave up on us a few months earlier.

If Lucas had a problem with Mr Benitez what was his problem with Carlo, becuase he was crap under him too.

14 league games with RB we were 14th. - with 15 points. Arguable whether points or places is more important. We'll see how it goes after 20 games.

Yeah I'm confident of climbing the table, hopefully we can strengthen again in January and have a better second half of the season

40 points would be very underwhelming, he'd be under the spotlight in the summer and rightly so imo. I like our team, I think we have good players for the most part, not to be getting overrun by a very average Fulham side anyway.

But I'm going to stop speaking on it because I also like Frank and hope he can improve on the first 13 games and brings us on to where we want to be.

Agree. Really, the small mindedness and lack of ambition shown by fans is why we have become a pathetic joke in the PL era. 40 points is not acceptable. Never has been, never will be. END OF. If we don't have the resources to deliver a team that is easily capable of exceeding this then we need change at the top.

Not even a hint of irony ? I didn’t mention either of them. I mentioned the interviews Richarlison did criticising Benitez. Obviously Digne and James weren’t fond of him either.

You mean Richarlison who went for nearly 1000 minutes without scoring? Yeah that really helped us.

Either way, the players, manager, chairman and fans are all on the same page now, pushing together as one unit, we need some unity, Frank has our full support and I reckon the players all respect and enjoy working with him.

I know, hopefully they can get behind Frank though, there are positives even if the results and performances arnt always what we want.
Behind the scenes for example, I think Thellwell and Kenwright are doing excellent work, Cole too, stability this season in the key

I really don't know what you expect this season. Tell us what you expected us to do this season with limited resources (FFP) and counting pennies to see who and what we can purchase. If Lampard had an open purse then of course I would expect better, but he didn't.

This is not asking for the world, but it does represent reasonably targets and stretch target for a club in our position, A good manager getting the most out the squad would do that.


At current rate we are on course for a poor season, bordering on unacceptable. I am therefore asking the questions that need to be asked.

But why only last season ? In the five seasons prior to that one we finished 7th, 8th, 8th, 12th, 10th.

Persistently referencing last season is like referencing Martinez's first season when we finished 5th with a records points haul. These two seasons are not the norm for this club/squad of players.

It’s not really that hard. Lampard took over last season so when you look at progress for this season you measure it against where the squad was and team was last season. Just like next season Lampard will be judged against this season to see if we’re improving. Having stabilised the core of the team, you’d have to think he’ll target forwards next season and we’ll be more of a threat. Think we’ll kick us on again. Obviously if we concede more goals, score less and are lower in the table than we are this season, Lampard will be in a lot of trouble!
