2022/23 Frank Lampard

Pressure right back on him again now to get a couple of wins against Bournemouth.

When your as crap as we are, your only ever one game away from another crisis. Yesterday was about the 3rd time this season we've had the chance to give ourselves a bit of breathing space, get into the top 10 (psychologically I think would be a huge boost for thr fanbase as well as the players) and we absolutely chuck in a nothing performance lacking any kind of belief, desire intensity and willingness to really dig in and do the dirty work.

Brentford have won the same amount of games as us and are 10th (they've drawn 7).

The RS have won 1 more game than us at the moment and are 9th by 2 points.

Every side from 9th to 20th are literally 2 wins away from having some limited breathing space.

I don’t really buy that, I think there’s a lot more that goes on behind the scenes that put us in this position. I’m sure Frank would have loved more depth upfront or someone of better quality, but he’s not the only one pulling the strings.
He needs to be more political, so. If that was Mourinho - who he learned under - then you can bet the media would know Jose was not happy with recruitment. If Frank is a company man, he will be thrown under the bus by the company when the time comes. For all the talk that Frank has connected with the fans, I don't think he has connected enough on issues like this. He needs to see the ownership for the vipers they are. Get too close to them and tacitly do their bidding and you'll end up sacked.

I am torn. I don't rate him as a manager and wouldn't have appointed him - but he is in the job so the club needs to own that decision, back their managers, and stop using them as human shields. So, I wouldn't sack him. I think that would be grotesquely unfair. But I have no confidence that he'll significantly improve us, either. Would I give him the window? I would - but he can't really complain too much if Moshiri doesn't if he loses against Bournemouth.
I’m not happy with the way things are going by any means and I do think we should give Frank more time, but I just hope we don’t overthink things when it comes to keeping him or firing him. I think he deserves another window or two as I honestly expected this season to go the way it is currently going. I think we are going to have to suffer a bit this season, and I don’t mean by going down, but a bottom half finish. If they decide to fire Frank, they better have a good plan in place and an idea of who they want to bring in to live up to the boards standards, but unfortunately I don’t think they have a plan when it comes to anything.

Don't understand people questioning what fans expect with the current squad. I'm not saying its good but my life....if we had some/most Newcastles 11 we would be having full tantrums on here. The longstaff rumours alone were sending most into full meltdown.
Summary I don't think it's wrong to be expecting at least slightly more with what we have.

Haha don't compare Lampard with Benitez or you're a kopite. Got it.

Nothing to compare mate.

Ones an odious toad who tried to destroy the club from top to bottom, created division, and had players fighting in the dressing room, and took millions in a payout.

The other is trying to improve and rebuild the club.

Only kopites who don't watch the games just see figures to say he did a 'better job'

He's not good enough. The only person who improved us was Ancelotti. I don't want apprentices managing us. He got lucky last year. Now there's no Richarlison to bail him out, I'm getting worried. End of.
