I would certainly hope notI’ll be honest, if we lose next week I think he’s gone. Where we go from there is anyone’s guess.
If we lose next week, he can have no complaints. Whether that's right or wrong is immaterial. It's the nature of the game. He'll have known that when he took over.I’ll be honest, if we lose next week I think he’s gone. Where we go from there is anyone’s guess.
What happens when you appoint a proven manager really.
The ironic thing about that live table is it simply reinforces the lazy - if factual - stereotype that's been hung around Lampard's neck: that he took us from 16th to 16th...and is now improving us to...16th.
Nothing, it was a reply to another couple of posters who were discussing Thomas Frank....
I was replying to a specific part.Cutting half the original message off there. Nice
I would certainly hope not
On both counts that is. I hope we dont lose obviously but I hope we dont change manager either.
I said it yesterday, if he gets the chance he’ll appoint Martinez or try for Pereira again out of utter spiteI agree. I think another managerial change could be the final nail in the coffin, but we know who our owner is and we know what he does.

Some basically want us to follow the Watford method, hire for a few months, sack, hire, sack, hire, etcWe appointed Carlo Ancelotti and some on here wanted him out because we’d dropped to tenth.
The fanbase won’t be happy unless a new manager comes in and gets us top 4 playing brilliant football. Anything other than that and it’s just a chorus of moaning.
If Lampard went tomorrow and we got the best class of manager we could hope for e.g Pochettino Enrique Mancini Zidane etc. then they’d all need at least the rest of this season to bed in, all of next season to get the team from bottom half to pushing into top half, and then the season after to really challenge and that’s if they don’t put a single foot wrong all under cost constraints.
I doubt some of the fanbase would even tolerate that now, it’s basically win every game or gtfo now.
