14 points from 42 this season - 3 wins and 6 defeats in 14

How does that compare to Lampard last season?
24 points from 63 - 8 wins and 11 defeats in 21 games

Looks to be carrying exactly the same despite 7 or 8 players coming in....... what hasn`t changed? The Manager!

It just isn`t improving, it just isn`t....

Well, many would say your best player being sold and inadequately replaced is quite a big change to a side that barely stayed up the previous season.

The current live league table demonstrates Lampard's problem. Last season, he "took us from 16th to 16th" and now, after 14 games, he has improved us to...16th.

Personally, I can see some progress, but it is clearly too slow. Though merely the current snapshot, the league table doesn't lie. It says that whatever improvement he has instigated, it is not fast enough to elevate us into a position higher than when he took us over. To be fair, a win over Bournemouth next week would probably push us into 12th or 13th for the World Cup - and that would suffice for now. I wouldn't sack him - but if he loses next weekend his tenure could well be in jeopardy. Bad defeats to Leicester and Bournemouth - direct relegation rivals - will ensure Moshiri's alarm bells will be flashing. And Roberto, Heaven help us, will be in the market for a new gig come the start of December...
Does Moshiri even care anymore though? I forget what he looks like

When he was initially hired last season the team seemed to generate a lot more good scoring chances. But now they just have an anemic attack.

Fine margins, in the last 2 games we've made a gilt-edge chance for Calvert-Lewin and he failed to convert on both occasions. Wish we made more chances, of course. But we cannot be passing up the chances when they do come.

You'll get nowhere being a nice guy, Frank. Should have been more forthright with your thoughts about recruitment in the summer and maybe you'd not now be favourite for the sack.

He’s not though is he?
In my head he is, and that's what counts. He willingly took the heat for the board and he'll pay for it - silly man. Would Klopp have accepted selling Mane without a proper replacement? Well, he sold Mane for 30m and got an 80m replacement. We sold Richarlison for 50m and waited almost 3 months to bring in a 10m replacement. Frank will learn from this.
