Are we back on to firing Lampard?
Not many options. 1. Sack the whole team. Would be great but not possible.
2. Do nothing and go down with a wimper. Will be very expensive.
3 Sack Lampard and bring in somebody with a clue. Villa has done it and im sure they will have 20 points more than Everton at the end of the season

I'll happily take the best that we are within 20 points of Villa.

The current live league table demonstrates Lampard's problem. Last season, he "took us from 16th to 16th" and now, after 14 games, he has improved us to...16th.

Personally, I can see some progress, but it is clearly too slow. Though merely the current snapshot, the league table doesn't lie. It says that whatever improvement he has instigated, it is not fast enough to elevate us into a position higher than when he took us over. To be fair, a win over Bournemouth next week would probably push us into 12th or 13th for the World Cup - and that would suffice for now. I wouldn't sack him - but if he loses next weekend his tenure could well be in jeopardy. Bad defeats to Leicester and Bournemouth - direct relegation rivals - will ensure Moshiri's alarm bells will be flashing. And Roberto, Heaven help us, will be in the market for a new gig come the start of December...

I was laughed at for disputing the claims he "saved" us from relegation - he took over a side 6 points above the bottom 3 spots with Richarlison up top and dragged us into the bottom 3 being 5 points behind Burnley at one stage.

I think he's commited and has the right atittude but I dont think he's good enough to have a team in the top half in this league.

If it doesn't work oot for him at Everton thats his PL career over - he'll end up swilling about the championship with the likes of Slippy and Rooney.
