But still worse, thank you
Maybe I am too passionate, but I just can't fathom the arguments from some (not yourself) that we should change manager again.I do love it when you get so passionate about your argument that you forget that nobody's actually arguing with you and just carry on anyway. I don't want us to sack Lampard, I don't think constantly changing managers is a good idea. I can hardly make this clearer. That does not mean that I don't think he should be criticised, and it does not mean that i lose the ability to understand how football works, and that managers are the ones who will be the face of glory or failure regardless of how much of it is actually down to them.
And let's be honest: in the eyes of neutrals, Lampard and Gerrard are birds of a feather - as players and managers. Their results as managers seem to be bear that stereotypical take out. So, really, while most of us probably think we should stick with Frank (albeit for, perhaps, different reasons), there should be no surprise if his position comes under scrutiny in the press and the boardroom when his results are, crudely put, similar to Slippy's.That's right.
PPG (Premier League games only)
Gerrard - 1.16
Lampard - 1.06

You eventually reach a point where you need to back someone and hold your nerve. We probably reached that point 3 years ago.
I am absolutely not happy with our performances. In fact I criticised Lampard pretty strongly after Saturday because I hated the gameplan, but we are going to lose games with these players. I need to understand that better myself and lower my expectations. But I do hate losing.

What would you say that is? I think that's where i'm struggling at the moment, I feel like I can't quite see what he's trying to do, and to an extent I feel like he doesn't really know what he wants to do either. I can't stress enough that I don't want him sacking and I can see some positives in certain aspects, but tactically he confuses me and I'm starting to wonder whether he is actually trying to implement the things I previously thought he was. The games against United and Leicester were pretty much the exact opposite of what I thought he wanted to do, and to me it looked very much like a tactical thing rather than just the players not being good enough.
Cool…nice to be top of something
Again mate I've stated this before - I think everyone recognizes that this club needs stability. We're just questioning whether or not it's Lampard who we choose to double down on rather than someone else.
The problem is Frank is the worst of all of the guys we've sacked. Why is this the one where we hold on?Maybe I am too passionate, but I just can't fathom the arguments from some (not yourself) that we should change manager again.

How many more managers are going to have to lose their jobs before we finally blame the board, the owner and underachieving, overpaid players?
I'll be honest. I'm not really interested in his "attitude" which, as far as I can glean as a mere punter, is divined through a carefully-curated PR prism. I am interested in his results. They're mediocre right now and he's coming under pressure. I'd give him time to improve them. But when he outlives his usefulness as a human shield for our board, he'll be tossed under the next bus.If Lampard's attitude was as stinking as Gerrard there wouldn't be as many defending him.
Pretending that the board and players don’t get blame is genuinely bizarre mate. I don’t know how many times I can say it, the manager will always be the focal point, the figurehead, the one who becomes a legend for winning things but gets sacked for failing. Everybody knows that the board and players are a/the issue, pretending that’s not the case doesn’t help your cause really.Maybe I am too passionate, but I just can't fathom the arguments from some (not yourself) that we should change manager again.
