FFS - he isn't doing well, he's not doing disastrously... he is playing with virtually the same squad he arrived to. He needs far more time - and he should be given it unless it really starts looking precarious relegation wise (See end of Jan last year - that was 19 games in).
Lampard needs 2 wins from Bournemouth (A), Wolves (H), City (A), Brighton (H), Southampton (H) to be ahead of last year's tally at the same point.
Don't think last Seasons points is total we should be using as any sort of bench mark.
If we are we are truly devoid of any ambition, even if that is to be mid table and stable
We have 8 new players and only lost one of any note.
The results are not good enough, the performances are not good enough, we are dire to watch , the only thing remotely working is the defence, midfield is all over the place, attack (can we really call it that) that has less shots and goals than anybody else.
He doesn't seem to have a plan B in some games, which is a worry.
He needs backing with a couple of attackers or he will end up getting sacked.
He can't dine out on keeping us up last season if we don't improve.
The board are to blame as well should give him the tools to get a fighting chance.
I will be honest I don't know why he was even given the job, when he came , but there are some encouraging signs , he identified most of the deadwood, seen where we were weak, and acted were he could
But has been badly let down by the board not getting in a couple of forward players.
I hope they give him a few players and give him a fighting chance, if not he is a dead man walking, he deserves better than that.
For me I want the board to back him , but I worry they will hang him out to dry, the useless bastards
