2022/23 Frank Lampard

Another extremely expensive sacking on the way since he brought about 50 members of backroom staff with him as well. That's probably next year's transfer budget spent on firing him.

I mean this is the crux of the matter, and has been for sometime. Not just under Lampard but even the fat mess last year.

The outlets up top are so underwhelming that it allows defenders to step and bypass any press we have. Their defenders always pick up the second ball and then we are overrun
Last night confirmed the logic of why the defence and midfield was targeted first for the overhaul. At least try to stay in a game and get something rather than be blown out of the water before your new forward has even had a sniff.

There has been progress made but not reflected on the points tally yet. Lampard/Thelwell are close to making us a boring, functional, hard to beat team and I see us as a couple of creative players short of a 10th to 14th finish. The situation is not as bad as last year and it will be addressed in January.

LOL he played our best team lad didn’t you know?

Bournemouth never played its best team as well.

We are poor, we have regressed from last season.

We concede the most shots in the league, we are 18th in the league for creating chances.

We are the team who plays the most long balls in the league.

It's akin to Steve Bruce and Big Sam style of football.

After 32 games in the league he averages 1.0625 points per game for us.

Last night we got humilated by a first 11 that cost 17.5 million to put together.

This is not how Everton play football.

Unfortunately expecting us to make the right signings in January is nothing more than false hope. If they didn't recognise them in August, there is not much evidence they will do it in January. I'm not sure how people can have faith in our recruitment at this point - it's as bad as ever

Nah, he signed a 2 and a half year contract, so it's only really a year and a half to pay off. I would bet we would look to retain some of his staff because some of them are highly rated but if they chose to leave that's on them to quit.

I believe there was also a clause in his contract incase we decided to change manager in the summer, I would imagine there's a similar clause for if we go into the bottom 3 or something.

well if we sack lampard if fixes the whole thing doesn’t it?

it’s true tho innit. you want a manager sacked who’s been here 5
mins and walked into a mess of a club

oh let’s sack him

look at the bigger picture you fools

No its you who needs to look at the bigger picture. 9 wins since Feb, we have no cohesion, no plan, no Attacking intent, an over reliance on Coady and Tark cos we are still conceding a boat load of chances against us.
On what planet does he or any manager deserve to stay? Stability is great if you have a competent manager, we don't

My views on Lampard are simple. He's a crap manager, borderline awful. BUT looking at the big picture, the club is an absolute circus from top to bottom so will swapping him out and replacing him with another clown make a difference? Answer is no.
Got Derby into the play-offs
Got Chelsea into Champs League whilst on a transfer embargo
Got Chelsea to the FA Cup final whilst on a transfer embargo
Kept us in the EPL with the players that played last night.

The notion that he's a crap/awful manager is such a bizarre take. The players are woeful and he's addressing this.
