2022/23 Frank Lampard

With the exception of the 4 players going to the World Cup, he better have every player in every day working on training. Chances are though that most of them will be off next week sunning themselves somewhere exotic.

Short memories here:

Lampard took over a mess. He kept his nerve and got us safe. The club sold Richarlison, a player he;d have wanted to retain, obvioulsy.

His biggest fault for me was being too loyal to Calvert-Lewin and not spending what we had on a couple of new strikers...something he'll have to do in January.

People need to get a grip and stop behaving like 'kin brats. This is easily recoverable. There's 23 games of the season left and we'll easily get the 26 points we need to get safe with even a half decent striker / bang average striker.
Kiss of death this.

How do you make these people score more goals mate?

Anthony Gordon - 6 in 57
Demarai Gray - 25 in 257
Dwight McNeil - 8 in 142
Alex Iwobi - 16 in 194
He’s got to do something though hasn’t he? I mean I totally get that he’s got nothing to work with, but he’s literally employed to find solutions to problems and get the team winning games. We can’t just absolve him of all responsibility for the team failing to score in 5 of our last 6 games.

No point in overcomplicating things. Are the results good enough? Are the performances good enough? What rationale is there for not sacking Lampard, apart from the club needing stability? Because if there is no rational, then really anyone can be manager of Everton as long as it brings stability. And stability does not mean success, nor does it mean that things are going badly, it just means that things are stable. What Lampard has achieved is actually quite stable +- 1 point on average.

The responsibility is shared.
So again, if its so pointless why not try a change?

Lad, we're playing like utter crap. There is no redeeming quality from the players or manager. We can't change the players right now, believe me i want to, but we can change the one who sets them up.
The next guy won't be any better and he'll get the sack after six mouths too. The reason things never get better is because nobody is given long enough to change things. Maybe Lampard isn't the man to do it but I've yet to hear who is from anyone.

The question is, can anyone else get Maupay, Gordon, McNeil, Gray to score more goals? If you don’t back any other manager to do so then why judge Frank harshly for it after he’s had one window and fixed the def/mid problems
Fixed the defence? We’ve just shipped 7 goals in 2 games against Bournemouth. Not Arsenal or Chelsea or City. Bournemouth.

A DoF who thinks the likes of Maupay and McNeil were good pieces of business. Even bringing Gana back at his age is highly questionable. However we got New York Kev ahead of Barca is a mystery for the ages...
Gana was a good decision but somehow once again the manager has him literally everywhere doing everything instead of what he is good at which breaking up play and recycling the ball.
