The next guy won't be any better and he'll get the sack after six mouths too. The reason things never get better is because nobody is given long enough to change things. Maybe Lampard isn't the man to do it but I've yet to hear who is from anyone.

That's the issue. Think we have to give him the firepower in January. And if it doesn't work out...he's gone.

And it won't be "too late" either.

With the exception of the 4 players going to the World Cup, he better have every player in every day working on training. Chances are though that most of them will be off next week sunning themselves somewhere exotic.
I mean they’ll be training anyway this week because we play Celtic in Australia next Sunday

The situation looks bleak but it did before Moyes came in and he turned us around. We need someone to come in and have that transformative impact.

We've got to ask why do Bournemouth and Fulham look so much better than us? Lampard has to take some responsibility for that surely.
He absolutely does. But I keep asking people who is the there that is going to do a better job that we could realistically get and nobody is willing to answer me.

Is it because of him or because of the players though? All I'll say when push came to shove he failed to set up in a correct manner to beat the opposition in front of them when he had the better team.

I'll give him he has always been better as a 'cup' manager though.
Think that question can be asked of all managers , mate.

What I would say is he took Swansea from the depths of bankruptcy to promotion putting in place the style that brought them to the Prem. In addition, it's common knowledge among Wigan fans that Chairman Whelan was on a controlled descent out of the Prem when he appointed Martinez selling his best players and closing the cheque book. That he managed to stave off relegation for so long is remarkable that he battered us at GP and ran over City at Wembley to win the FA cup is nothing short of miraculous.

I rate him and if he had arrived with Mosh I reckon we'd be right up there rather than mulling around the relegation zone. But it's all supposition. He shouldn't come back though

Gana was a good decision but somehow once again the manager has him literally everywhere doing everything instead of what he is good at which breaking up play and recycling the ball.
Loved Gana during his first spell here, hugely underrated, but he just looks every bit a 33 year old midfielder now whose best is long gone. As someone on a podcast said, if he'd not played for us before, would he have ever been on our radar this summer given our limited resources? Not a chance.

Wood hasn’t played that much and Joelinton and Almiron have been class recently, much like how Iwobi turned his career around

I get your point but Gray has been booted out numerous clubs, Gordon is a kid who hasn’t proved anything yet and McNeil registered one goal/assist in 37 games last season
Gray scored 6 under fatty benitez and I think only 1 under lampard in the league. Gordon Frank couldn't speak highly enough of and Maupay got 8 goals last season. 11 goals in 14 games is relegation fodder especially when 3 of them came in 1 game

Well, that's not a very difficult question. Not that it's the manager I want most, but Sean Dyche had without a doubt done a better job than Lampard, and he is far better qualified. He had taken the job without a doubt.

Worst thing is sticking with someone hoping the situation changes only for matches to run out

I thought he'd sorted the defence out. We are now leaking goals without scoring.

There's just no fight in the team...stats say it all

Thing is we buy players for buying players sake. Gana seems to have dived whilst Anana ain't offering anything in my view.

Should have got experienced players in, who know what thr battle is about....too much experimenting and we are not good at that

I disagree he still has that nack of positioning himself perfectly to intercept. But currently he's trying to run the midfield and he's never been designed to do that .

Well thats academic really hard to say flip a coin I guess.

I’m in two minds.

I’d prefer us to stick with him, as I don’t think there’s a manager readily available to us who’d have us performing levels above what we currently are with these attackers.

But if we give him January and he ends up going anyway, I feel this upcoming break would’ve been the perfect time to get a new manager bedded in and his desired targets for January sounded out (should there be any funds).
Exactly. It's now or never.

But we still left it till mid January...then got out of it.

Can't see why we can't do that again

Wolves, Brighton, Southampton and West Ham are 4 out of the next 5 games. All huge for Lampard's future here. My biggest concern is that the team's down there with us are better this year. Even Forest, who I was sure would go straight back down, are being competitive.
