On average one shot on goal a game says it all

Not all Frank's fault but you can't play a game hoping to defend for 90 mins

The likes of davies, doucoure, keane etc just suck funds from the club. We just seem to live to the next summer to dump the next batch for nowt

The club, players and managers never learn. Never will
He isn't playing a game hoping to defend, though.

The attackers are just really, really, really bad.

I cannot stress enough just how bad our current four options are in Maupay, Gordon, Gray and McNeil.

They're absolutely atrocious, and none of our midfielders have a goal in them.

I know mate, that's the crazy side of football

Makes me wonder what role his agent had
I doubt his agent will have played any role tbh. That kind of opportunity doesn't come around every day. If he does well, he'll pick up a nice wage every week and grow his reputation. If he doesn't it'll be a big pay off, and back to a mid level team or maybe even the England job.

I meant to say wasn't
gonna say!

I absolutely agree, and it's my point. You can only play that way for a few weeks and you also need a proper outball for it to work even for a few weeks.

It's why I don't see an easy answer with this squad, and I blame Thelwell and the clowns on the board for that as much as I blame Lampard for his mad midfield tactcis.

I’m not denying it, it has been. But he has tried different little things.

The bottom line is we have no goal threat in the entire team, none. It was not addressed in the summer and this is the result of that awful decision to go into a season with a front 3 of Gray, McNeil and Gordon and Maupay being added later

Sack the manager, we may get a bounce for a game or 2 but the same issues will come home to roost

If this is t resolved we’re down, regardless of the manager
I just can’t see ow where gona get a striker and someone who can create to , can’t believe we managed to get ourselves in this position esp after last season

I really don't know what's for the best anymore. I can see that FL has made mistakes but at the same time I cannot fathom any configuration and strategy that would make this team significantly more successful.

It's been such a mistake experience supporting this club for the last 3-4 years.

I can mate, it’s the negligence and lack of planning foresight that runs deep through this club.

How a director of football can witness our inabilities last year, sell our only attacking threat and not replace him or what we needed in top of him, is scandalous

The problem is while the team is bad it isn't this bad. I mean for me we're exactly where we should be right now. We've been one of the 3 or 4 worst teams and that isn't all talent.

The damage was done in August failing to get in a striker with DCL injured going into games like Forest at home with Rondon.
If you can score goals you always have a chance to win a game.
We are utterly toothless and rapidly slipping into a malaise reminiscent of last season after the Watford home game the board spent three months uming and arrhing and we stayed up mainly thanks to the home fans passion by the skin of our teeth.
Tempting fate season after season will only end one way I fear.

Could of stuck ye house on lewin get injured the minute we decided that him maupay and McNeil would be enough

Well it depends.

The attack absolutely is this bad and when you can't attack it adds pressure everywhere else.

I thought he'd come onto something against Palace (but they were bad) to get us back on track, because I do think in the derby, v Leeds, v West Ham and v S'ton (for half of it) we were decent and I could see what we're doing.

I think he's trying to compensate for the absolutely dross attack by trying to get more numbers forward, and it's just leaving us badly exposed. But it all comes back to just really poor recruitment in that area for me, and then a manager whose ideas aren't working - and the coaching isn't working - is compounding it.
