Not Safe For Work! Friday night relationship advice thread

Cheshire oaks is horrid on a Saturday afternoon.

Suggest doing it in the week when it’s quieter and will be more enjoyable? Unless work gets in the way of that?

Failing that, push her buttons, cause an argument, and hope she goes alone whilst fuming at you? Will all blow over by the Sunday.
Oh God no, this is never an option, whilst she is chill, if I push her buttons the whirlwind is fierce and never stops.

Battle of wills going on in the Goat household here lads and ladies and after some advice.

My Wife is super chill, she never demands things of me, she always implies or suggests, but she never ever demands. So when she suggests things, I am always more inclined to do what she suggests, cos otherwise that would make me an arsehole, right?

The boy has got a new job in Cheshire Oaks, she wants to go tomorrow, visit his workplace, for some food and pick him up after work, after some walking around the shops. The problem is, he finishes at 7pm and I really wanna sit in my boxers all day and watch the footy.

Nothing will happen if I choose football, I wont be "punished", I wont get the cold shoulder, she will just get the bus, with my Grandson and come home on the bus after work with the boy.

But I feel like I should make the effort, for her.

So my question is, how do I become a non-feeling cyborg? And should I bin the footy off and make a day of it with the family?

If anybody else has any relationship questions, I feel this is the place to ask.

Yep, I would do it Goat. It sounds like the least fun ever, but I think this means something to her and it feels dangerously like one of those "no's" that's not worth the hassle

Ah well, good advice all round lads and ladies, guess im off to Cheshire Oaks for pain and misery tomorrow, hope the City game is called off.

Can the next person ask the great and wonderful people on GOT a question.

Short term for the long term this one.

You’ll get a lot of credit in the bank for going and it’ll be remembered for all eternity if you don’t.

They have very subtle ways of getting revenge and making us pay.

Take one for team Goat and join the rest of the zombies at Cheshire Oaks.

In saying that, I’d rather burn in hell, than go to IKEA.
Don't mind IKEA tbh.

She likes the soft furnishings there ( not so much the put together stuff thank god )
I find it just another way of getting me steps in.

Actually visited IKEA for the first time ever last month, meh, I didnt see the attraction to be honest, ended up picking up a very nice cheap light for Kitchen, but I am no rush to visit again.

God speed good buddy… one of the worst places on Earth

I'd be doing it for the brownie points tbh. Proper crap weekend of footy this weekend so I'm not too bothered that I'm going to a play aimed at kids and a tae kwon do tournament. Makes me seek like I'm a half decent dad when in a perfect world I wouldn't get dressed and would play a bit of PS5

Does IKEA in the UK deliver? I have a love hate relationship with that place. It's very good at what it does, but I've got scars that will never heal trying to fit all of that stuff in my vehicle (which isn't small even by Yank standards.) Maybe we buy too much from there.
