Sounds good Sass. What’s Arugula?
It is going to sound even better once I'm munching on some of them lol

"Rocket or arugula is an edible annual plant in the family Brassicaceae used as a leaf vegetable for its fresh, tart, bitter, and peppery flavor. Other common names include garden rocket, and eruca. It is also called "ruchetta", "rucola", "rucoli", "rugula", "colewort", and "roquette"

Ah It’s rocket!

Love the stuff - nice and peppery.

This year.

Spuds. (First earlies and main crop already planted)

Dwarf French beans, Beetroot, Rainbow Chard, Fennel, garlic, onions and leeks.

Im also having a go with butternut squash this year, but not too hopeful as we don’t have a long enough growing season.

oh and courgettes (zucchini)
Nice one mate! We had success in the midlands with squash and courgettes and we were real rookies!! Go for it.

We have had nice onions red! Boo!!), spring onions (that’s scallions to you @Sassy Colombian !) . Guy a couple of plots away has sensational cabbage! We hope to copy him this year because he gave us a few seedlings.
I absolutely love red onions and spring onions I just don't have enough space to grow them and seems se crops don't like to grow near onion then I stay away from planting them. With cabbage I just get issues with cabbage looper warms in my area that eat my plants in no time. Good luck growing it.

Been building a pond in the back pic below its about 90% done. I wanna encase it with decking from the back fence running to the back door. I got a quote and tget quoted me 100 quid a square metre. So question is should i take it or try it myself @Joey66 is it hard to do

Avoid decking high maintenance in oil preservative for it plus vermin love nesting underneath it .....avoid block paving high maintenance ......
Level your land on a slight slop towards your pond put ground master heavy duty ground cover pinning it down with metal legs then repent on budget you can then either lay flags or different shades of gravel in sections bordered by cemented small concrete edging with different pea gravel in choice of colours etc all can be done by yourself plus totally weed free also you at anytime you can plant through the gravel plus ground cover leaving options open in the future in various outer saves for your patio etc ..

To get the fall of the land just hang in wooden pegs with a long baton using a spirit level to make sure your backdoor area is sloping slightly towards your pond ......

Thats a great shout. I really wanted decking because i was gonna do plinth lighting arond the pond. But that's a better option and i wont cost 100 quid a square metre. Cheers joey
