Nice one for the advice

It does have that rep. Beautiful place with stunning villages and amazing pubs.

This is one of my faves.

This place looks so cozy, maybe one day I get to visit it :)

I wonder if your town is as expensive as the town we currently live in? Our mountain town is very popular with tourist because our landscape beauty, local breweries, music venues, national awarded restaurants etc. It is a lovely place but the cost of living it seriously is absurd compared to the wages paid in this area.

Sounds very familiar. We get a lot of Londoners who own second homes here. That in itself is responsible for a big rise in property prices which effectively prices locals out of the property market.

Same here. We get a lot of Floridians and New Yorkers buying second homes here too and it has inflated our housing market so much. Locals and people like ourselves that have been living in this area for decades are the ones having to pay the most from this type of money influx.
