I do, it's delicious with roasts, cold meats and cheese. You can make Quince Jam.....
Gardeners world last night started of with Poppies @roydo - BBC 2 they looked huge - he obviously has the luxury of stating them off in a greenhouse ,,,,
Ever thought of making a small polythene cold frame ?
When I was a student Gardener - my charge had told me to take a straight bite stated they were lovely ..... bitter as hell.... lolI do, it's delicious with roasts, cold meats and cheese.
That depends on wind factors - easy enough to build a nice small studier cold frame using a prop for ventilation - avoid those cheapos quick fix amateur flimsy poly greenhouses etc....Not a bad idea that. That or one of those plastic/patio greenhouse things.

Is the most bitter thing I've ever tasted. lolWhen I was a student Gardener - my charge had told me to take a straight bite stated they were lovely ..... bitter as hell.... lol
A small cold frame with polythene will open a new adventure in propagation for your garden ...... your poppies will flower if you water them the feed with a tomato fertiliser - high potash .... patience is a virtue......All we grow is a few herbs on the patio, or in the kitchen mate. Although I did muck around with some meadow flowers/grasses earlier, and poppies aside, are coming along fine in the front.
The back is a mess mind; needs a proper bloke in to sort it in the autumn cos I am banned from doing anything other than mowing the lawn basically!
Its got berries on it so it must have flowered my guess it's a wild climber dropped by a bird = a weed definitely not Wisteria - as @COYBL25 been crossing his weeds lolWould you be able to identify this creeper for me please @Joey66 .
It's growing up the side of the house. It has been suggested that it may be a wisteria but I've never seen any flowers on it .Fingers crossed that you will be able to identify it for me ,I don't want to be lovingly watering a weed
