Joey any advice on why my red hot pokers never flowered. I bought 2, one for myself and one for my neighbours. Theirs flowered mine hasn't. Cheers
Good chance he had the flowering crown when the plants were split in propagating them it should flower next year - feed it once a week with a tomato feed after watering it once a week if just planted....

@roydo wait for them to flower then self select the ones you like plus any other enthusiast collecting seed off flowering plants this time of year - here are two varieties of Aquilegia {columbine} that will seed anywhere, but some will not come true to type others may mutate into a larger different colour prick the out prick them out & choose the best ideal for a wild flower garden or an ornamental garden -

@Joey66 I let the hanging basket dry out as I thought the rain would get to it but it didn’t. Now the water just runs through it, should I bin it or can it be brought back to life? A few of the plants died but the rest seem not too bad.

Lavendula cutting 100% take on some posh varieties - softwood cutting grown & rooted in humidity -sprayed fin everyday inside a milky polythene bag -
We will pot them up into small pots once more established -

Never rely on rain for any Basket or tub, the rain just bounces of the upper foliage if its bone dry fill a large container with water & leave over night it may pick up ...if it does two days later give it a good Nitrogen feed.....

@Sassy Colombian Hey there, I am glad you managed to get hold of some Fox Farm nutes, you won't regret it (they should work on your veggies also) Your plants are looking like they are starting to get going, although something has had a nibble at that one in the bottom picture. I hope it all works out for you keep posting pics, the little placard you have SH8 is that some sort of Silver Haze phenotype? or is it some sort of mad Sour Diesel x Haze cross?
Sorry Simon, I just realized I never answered this post. My plants are getting bigger and started to flower, something had nibbled a few leaves here and there but tbh other crops have been bother more so I'm happy with how these babies have developed, they seem they growth a few inches while I was in Mexico. A few of them are a silver haze strain. I have noticed the plants that I transplanted near my lettuce and arugula are doing much better than the ones that I planted in the bed with my tomatoes and pepper, wonder the reason. What's your take @Joey66?

It's legal in her country, Pete -if I had a £ in my career for everyone who asked them to grow it for them, I could have retired at aged 40 -
My old boss did a horticultural journeyman's course at Cambridge Botanic Garden when they had stocked then all the botanical plants labled etc of the world including the wild species cannabis which grew like a weed under glass - they had to remove it back then in the 1960s as many leaves were disappearing daily plus any seed.... lol

The original species will grow outside in hot weather, many have been caught doing so in the UK ...even growing them in woods etc

The F1 varieties on @Sassy Colombian photos are harder to grow FI varieties like Skunk etc & are more potent in sap plus leaves they need constant heat & good light - hence the helicopters that fly over houses with heat ray detectors as some people grew them in their lofts using florescent light tubes & a man made heated bench, which would you believe were up for sale advertised an age ago - the police clamped down on it with the modern heat ray detectors they use catch people growing it in lofts has warned people off as the sentence is very high .....

Dog napping is the new crime wave as the sentence is the same as stealing a bike & very lucrative for dealers....
