If it's a Goat Willow it'll have slightly asymmetric points to the leaves and they'll be hairy underneath.

Sizewise it'll get much bigger and eventually become a tree...might take a good few years though. If you like it and want a bit of height in your border you can always cut off the longer straggly lower branches and allow the main stem to grow. Would probably need support to keep it heading upright and regular pruning or it's gonna sprawl everywhere as it's doing at the moment.

Thanks. I may do this for the time being and see how it goes. I can't even remember planting it tbh, I think a bird may have dropped a seed or something.

Birds probably had a poop & dropped the seed there, class it as a weed .....

Where are you growing them, in a greenhouse or straight into soil outdoors? also how old are they? also are they clones/cuttings or grown from seed?
I'm growing them straight in the garden some of them next to my tomatoes and some other ones next to my lettuce and arugula. These babies are a couple of months old, they are clones that a friend gifted my husband. He also gave us four different types of strain so hopefully I will have a nice variety of crops by the beginning of autumn.

I'm not 100% on the outdoor growing cycle in the US but if they are already a few months old you probably want to get them in the ground fairly soon if you are looking at an Autumn harvest. Obviously it's strain dependent but flowering outside always takes a bit longer than indoors (id guess for you probably about 10-12 weeks) Get some Neem oil to keep the bugs away and given that you have the luxury of being in the US id invest in some Fox Farm organic nutrients, their stuff is very good for growing any fruit/veg/weed, we can't get it over in the UK unless you buy online at exorbitant prices.
You are lucky being in the US Sassy, the last time I did an outdoor grow I had to start it around the back end of May and it was'nt ready till October and it was a constant fight to keep the rabbits and deer away.

Thanks for all these tips. I already planted them this weekend and they are looking very happy. Our growing season in Asheville has gotten longer as the climate has gotten warmer. The average temperature in October can still be around 21 degrees or warmer so they should be okay. I also planted them in my raised beds so if necessary I can put a plastic over them to keep them warm if it were to get too cold. I’m going to check the Fox Farm organic products, if I’m going to go through the effort of growing these babies I want to make sure they get all the love and nutrients they need so I get a super tasty bud. Are you currently growing anything? Any tips to make it taste great?

I'm not growing anything at the moment and hav'nt for a few years tbh, my growing days are over tbh I did loads when I was younger then had issues with harder drugs, went to rehab and these days I just have a smoke before i go to bed to help me sleep as I don't sleep too good. The Fox Farm stuff is awesome, i think they even do their own compost also, it's the stuff the pro's use. If you get the temps that you are saying i doubt they will get cold at any point, any outdoor grow is always going to be more about a fight against bugs and critters. Good luck with it all anyway, let us know how you get on.

I was never into hard drugs but weed has been my only addiction since I was in my 20s. I also use it to help me sleep and to reduce anxiety so I don’t see as drug but as medicinal plant because it really is. Yes, the main issue is going to be darn bugs and critters, I already had a battle with slugs early this spring as they were devouring my zinnias. But I triumphed over those and I will engaged on a battle with any bug that want to damage my babies lol I will give you an update as the growing season continues. Thanks again for the tips and the product recommendation.
